Rancor vs. Luke Skywalker Diorama

It'd be cool if someone ever made a statue of the Rancor like this, minus the bone in his mouth.

I agree 100% , this pose it is the correct, without bone and with luke ahead, This one is the diorama that we all want.

I'd like to pick it up, I checked eBay and didn't find it out there.

I just won one on ebay today actually. But it's true that they don't show up very often. It's an old kit so finding ones that are still unassembled isn't easy anymore. I'll post pictures when I paint it up (unless it's a disaster or something ).

I still say that the GG Rancor is the best one out there though. Yeah, it doesn't show the Rancor in attack mode, but actually that's part of what I like about it. I've always liked the implied relationship between the Rancor and the keeper.

Speaking of which, let me link to my "cute" Rancor and Keeper art piece that Jeff Confer did for me recently.

That's the beauty of multiple takes on something, bound to be one to suit everyone's vision, for me the Rancor should look like an attacking beast, be it Luke, Oola or a Gammy.

Well, yeah, I'm wishy-washy. I've had the Rancor up on my shelf for a week now trying to decide if I'm going to send him back and I just can't bring my self to take him down. He just looks too nice in the overall collection to get rid of.
And the low ES on the Gammy EX just makes it all the more difficult to give up so I guess he stays. I'll try my hand at repainting Luke just in case I ever want to switch them out.

I think it's a nice addition to anyone building up a solid collection of Jabba pieces with the 1/6 from SSC and other items, if you don't have a large Jabba section to your collection, I could see being more iffy about it.

Coco, are you getting the Jabba dio also?

I haven't decided about the Jabba dio yet. Since I've got the 1:6 set up and I'm limited on space I probably won't.

I think that's kind of a silly attitude to take. The Hasbro Gamorrean looks really nice if painted up well, and it's a fraction of the cost of what the Sideshow one will cost (assuming you do the painting yourself). I plan to have both of them in my display unless the scale ends up being totally off between them. I think that would make more sense than buying two identical Sideshow ones.

I'm just thinking of the time investment, even if you do the paint yourself. If you'd have fun doing it no biggy, but if doing it was more out of trying to bring the Hasbro up to par, seems to me like it might be easier just getting Sideshow's now that we know one's coming than to pour more work into the Hasbro one.

Well guys , at last my exclusive arrive today and I withdraw everything above mentioned previously , he is brown totally , and he is awesome , But Luke is the same that all showed , the Gummy looks nice .

They only come with the brown Rancors
