Jackie Brown (1997) 7.5/10

18 years and I finally get around to seeing this movie. Great tension throughout, especially in the third act. Kind of fun to go back in time to watch a 90's Tarantino film for the first time. The first half of the movie did at times feel like I was watching Tarantino go through the motions a bit after Pulp Fiction but it was still solid overall.

I love 70's blacksploitation flicks, but could not get into Jackie Brown at all.

Death Proof would be my go to Tarantino flick.

I actually watched it over two nights because I didn't find the first hour very compelling. Second night I got to all the money exchanging sequences and I ended up really liking how it all came together. I liked how the violence just kind of happened without warning throughout. Created a pretty palpable aura of tension for me.

Quentin obviously really likes Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. The girls talked about it in Death Proof and then it was on TV in Jackie Brown. It's available to stream on Netflix if anyone hasn't seen it. Pretty fun chase movie, though not as hardcore as what I remembered from watching it as a kid.

Deathproof is my second favorite Tarantino film, Stunt Man Mike was an awesome character.

From Dusk til Dawn: 7/10

Pretty ****ed up. Tarantino is so ****ed up. :lol

Juliette Lewis being 23 looked 40. Jeez, and it was a blast to see Clooney in a different light.

Overall Salma was sexy! :drool

I may convert my Lady Death to look like her. :lol

Cheesy vamp flick, but overall not bad. I'd see it for Halloween Movie month.

I love From Dusk Til Dawn. I'd give it a 7/10 as well. It's goofy but a fun flick to watch every now and then. I just wish Salma would have been in it more--or I guess I should say I wish more of Salma was in it...mainly her bewbs...because they are awesome.

And them boom....chandelier :lol

The chick in the TV show looks alright, but sure as **** it wasn't Hayek.

But yeah, more Salma bewbs and azz! :lecture

The first half of that film is really good actually.

As soon the vampire **** starts, it's all over though. :lol

Love FDTD!
Good ol' mixed genre trashy fun. Tarantino's wrote an awesome script and RR was in his prime. :rock

I miss Robert Rodriguez. He haven't made a good movie since 1998.

Yes sir! Deathproof was b@d@ss.

Kurt Russell's character was fun to watch, but my absolute favorite is stuntwoman Zoe Bell. She was the one on the hood during the final car chase scene.
