Whiplash 8 out of 10

I would have gave it 9 or 10 but the movie ended to soon... I wanted it to go on forever.. Are you allowed to take off points because a movie leaves you wanting more??

:)

Tank Girl - 7.5/10

Man, that was awesome. I loved it up until they met the Rippers. Not exactly sure why. I think maybe the plot became too serious and busy after that, with less wacky, wildcardness and less focus on Tank Girl herself, who was easily the best part of the movie.

An all time favorite. It's far from great, but I love it nonetheless.

Cinderella (live action): 6.5/10

Well done for what it is. Fairly faithful to the cartoon, and not a "re-imagining" like we see with a lot of this stuff nowadays--i.e., Wicked, Maleficent, and that means it's good for kids, but makes for a fairly mundane movie, story-wise. Funny seeing Robb Stark once again putting his own selfish, romantic desires ahead of the needs of his people. Though it seems to work out better for him here, and the guy who was thinking about the good of the kingdom (the Duke played by Stellan Skarsgard) gets lumped in with the evil stepmother and banished from the kingdom!

Frozen Fever: 7.5/10

Really good. Kids will love it if they loved Frozen.

John Wick - 6.5/10

Was expecting more based on such high ratings. Decent action, nothing spectacular.

Pretty much lost interest after the puppy was killed.

Run All Night - 6.8/10 - Pretty straight forward mob/thug/revenge flick. A good cast. A bit windy, but worth a watch. It is amazing how Neeson still plays these physical roles at his age.

I was very excited for PR when it was described as someting huge and dark, having awesome mechs and Lovecraftian monsters...
Of course none of it was true. Massive dissapointment and a waste of time (and money, in my case).

Glad you see the light- great effects/robots- very very average movie

Coincidentally watched Pacific Rim this morning :lol it's a Saturday morning cartoon with big budget CGI, it's cheesy and fun, it's at least a solid 6 or 7.
