Yeah, a lot of the humour is cringe worthy; the Raimi Spidey films were skating a fine line most of the time, if not crossing it. :lol

In some films though, it's actually really clever & well timed.

Just missing a laugh track.

Somebody should make a "Too Many Cooks" opening containing scenes from all the Marvel movies. They could do things like giving Mjolnir his own credit, showing Coulson getting impaled then turning and smiling at the camera as his name flashed across the screen, inappropriate laugh tracks as certain characters are "dying," etc.

The only Marvel Studios humor that's really worked for me so far is RDJ's probably ad-libbing, and GOTG. But putting all that foolishness aside, I liked Dark World quite a bit and think it is probably the most underrated Marvel Studios movie (up there with Iron Man 3).

As it happens, I reached the finale of both The Shield and Breaking Bad in the same weekend. My wife and I have been working our way through Breaking Bad over the last couple of months ... and I've been catching re-runs of The Shield on NUVO a couple of times a week (though I don't think I saw all of Seasons 1 or 2).

Both finished this weekend. Holy crap. Hell of a weekend of TV.

Breaking Bad, Season 5/Felina. 10/10. Entirely satisfying. We didn't watch any Breaking Bad until after the series was already done (DVR'd the AMC marathon leading up to the finale). I'll admit ... we got a bit into Season 3, and started wondering what all the hype was about. It was good, but hardly the masterpiece that everybody seemed to be raving about. But, it really took off in Season 4 ... and then kicked into another gear for the last eight episodes of the series. The finale was completely satisfying.

Ozymandias may be one of the best hours of television out there -- right up there with ...

The Shield, Family Meeting. 10/10. Holy crap. That was an intense finale. The ending was both surprising and fitting. I didn't watch religiously until the Forrest Whittaker season ... but, it didn't disappoint at all.

I'm going to have to track down that "Top 5 Completed TV Series" thread and completely revise my list. Might have to wait for Justified to end in a few weeks, though. Hopefully, the finale can keep up with these two.

Next up, Sons of Anarchy ... right after we catch up on Better Call Saul (five episodes behind), and my wife catches up on Fargo and True Detective (I've already seen both) before Season 2 of each.

Not a fan of BCS. I like Breaking Bad, but I do think it's a bit overhyped. Mainly fanboy of BB will praise BCS. Eh just me. But I love SoA. I literally just finished season 5 today and I started last night :lol

Got a lot to catch on myself.

I've seen the first two BCS episodes. I liked them quite a bit. I don't like lawyer shows (I'm an attorney, so, bleh), but Saul is more of a crime drama with a lawyer as the main character than a genuine lawyer show. And, he's interesting enough to carry the series. I'd like to see them bring back Bill Burr and the big black fella, though.

It's not quite BB ... but, then again, neither was BB after only a few episodes. It might've actually started stronger than BB.

With BB behind us, The Shield finished, and Justified coming to an end (I'd love a spinoff of that, though ... maybe with Wynn Duffy) ... Sons is next. Probably start it this summer.

SOA is great, and try the Wire if you haven't seen it yet, I blew through all 5 seasons and it was awesome

Halo: Nightfall 3/10

Are we ever going to get a Halo film that actually revolves around Master Chief???

Yeah, freestylin' Downey is entertaining.. but not classic Stark as we all know. :lol

I very rarely 'laugh out loud' during films or shows - unless it's Mel Brooks, Lesley Neilsen, Rodney Dangerfield, or classic British stuff.

Lucy 6/10 Pretty decent action. The plot was fun and I thought had much more potential than the route they went with. Pretty short film too.

Dracula Untold 7/10 Liked it. Costumes were very well done for that time frame. Did anyone else think they set it up for a sequel of some sorts?
