Birdman - 6/10 - Nice performances and single take gimmick, but this movie was a chore to get through. Seemed 3 hours long.

Dracula Untold 7/10 Liked it. Costumes were very well done for that time frame. Did anyone else think they set it up for a sequel of some sorts?
They did. It was supposed to be Universal's kick-off for their eventual Avengers-styled Monster film, I think.

The Hobbit 5 armys give it a 7.

Horrible bosses 2 give a 5.

The Wild with Reese Witherspoon give a 6.

Monuments men a 5.

I still haven't bothered with any of the Hobbit movies. :lol

It took me literally years to buy the LOTR trilogy - & while they're great films & I'm a fan of the sword & sorcery genre, to echo EVILFACE's last comment there.. they were a chore to get through.

Seems Mr Jackson's balloon popped after the ROTK. :huh

Her - 100/100

Absolutely stunning movie. I have to say this may easily make it into one of my top 3 films of all time. I can't even go and explain how much I love this film; first off, I hardly ever care for a score. Not out of ignorance, but because often I'm too immersed in the story or dialog or even visuals, that I often dismiss the soundtrack or scores. This film actually had me paying attention to it, and it's incredible; an absolute auditory orgasm. As for the casting, I think this easily was spot on. Phoenix is great as Twombly and conveys a complex character, while ironically Johannson does a fantastic job as an OS that it comes off more human than Phoenix sometimes. Her voice was fantastic, and every syllable conveys a tone and emotion, regardless of shouts or hushed whispers. While it is a dramatic romance, it has some incredible humor; while I was surprised at the use Pratt, I feel he could have been used more to cause a bit more humor. Amy Adams was also a fun character; and can easily be a hit or miss as a character. I feel she was great, and while not parallel to Twombly's experience, she does a great job to get there. Overall setting was also great, this kind of techno dependent futuristic culture and diversity; and really has you considering how we all are so involved with our electronic devices; hell one note that got me was when there was a mention of a publishing firm that still prints books. Sad thought really. I literally can't recommend this film enough to anyone, absolutely heart love and break of a roller coaster. Now I think I need to see Gone Girl again to hate women again. :lol

New TMNT i give it a 5 hate them rewriting story orgin's. Then Dumb n dumber too give a 4 horrible bad kinda funny but 20 yrs too late 4 the sequeel.

Birdman give it a 5 good 2 see keaton in something just makes me want him back in the cowl again from this film.

After missing it on TV several times, I finally watched 'Constantine' (Keanu) the other night.

5 / 10.

Ehh.. going off the snippets I'd already seen, I thought I was going to like it - nah. Keanu is Keanu, the lovely Rachel Weisz is made to talk with a ridiculous American accent, the guy playing Lucifer was appropriately vile - but cheesy, FX were video game-y, & the only positive being Tilda Swinton, was under used.

A one watch only affair for me.

Maze Runner - 7/10. Performances were good; so was the CGI. A few plot holes here and there, but nothing too obvious.

Dune (1984) ---------------- 4/10
Frank Herbert's Dune (2000) - 7,5/10

_

Misfits S1 - 6/10
Misfits S2 - 2/10
