I loved Rocky IV when I first saw it.. But it aged bad quickly... Its almost all music videos :lol

Like I said though I think if Bill Conti's music was in it.. Oh boy would I like it a lot more.

I 100% agree with you on your point you have in your spoilers... Freaking great moment. Loved watching them run together at the end also. Great stuff.

Bring on the Drago spin off.

I think that part of the reason I love IV is *because* it has aged badly, lol. I'm always right back in 1985 whenever I catch a scene here or there while channel surfing (and can easily leave the whole thing on as a background movie.)

Hell I think it had two or three *back to back* montages at one point. One cheesy 80's "power ballad" song would end and then they'd just segue right into another one. :lol

Yep, totally agree about them running together at the end. Great stuff indeed.

The quest. 1986 release. I stumbled upon this 80s gem thru Fb spielberg fanpage. It stars the main young actor from E.t movie and just a very fun trip back to the 80s. The full movie is free to watch on youtube give a strong 7 just a fun fast movie. Way under rated 80s movie.

Went to an advance Screening of The Lego Movie: The second part and at most it was an 7/10!

Predators - 6.5/10

I expect many people will find this a better film after the laughable tripe The Predator ended up being.

Pretty cool way to open the film with Adrien Brody's character waking up in the middle of an involuntary skydive. Overall I found him to be a good protagonist although I know that opinions to the contrary are available.

Jokes were minimal, the film goes more for tension and thrills but doesn't reach the heights of P1 - perhaps through no particular fault of its own - just that Predators were by now a well known monster much like the Xenomorph from the Alien films. I don't think it's possible for these creatures to be truly frightening anymore no matter what violence you depict.

I dunno why Shane Black went for the bigger badder Predator VS regular Predator in his film when it had already been done in Nimrod Antal's Predators. The alliance between Royce and the Classic Predator I guess kinda works in context. CP had been chained up and humiliated by the Super Predators and Royce offered him an opportunity to avenge himself. It wasn't necessarily that they became best buds but CP sure as **** wanted to kill Berserker which happened to be something that would aid Royce. Of course, he fails to do so and is ultimately killed by the Berserker who takes off his mask to reveal

Anyway, with 2 characters left alive on an alien world I might have been interested enough to see what became of them but it was not to be. As ever with these franchises each new sequel ignores all but the most highly regarded films and purports to be the next 'real' continuation...until it too fails to impress audiences and they rererereboot again.
