I thought since we read about so much crap going on in this world...it would be nice to read something that, IMO, is worthwhile.

Real-life Batman and Captain America team up to save cat from a fire

The human imagination couldn't come up with a story this adorable. Thankfully, it happened in real life!

Picture this -- two guys, Jeff Buckland and Troy Marcum, are dressed up as Batman and Captain America respectively. They're at an American Legion in West Virginia and the reason they're in costumes is because they're running a program called Heroes 4 Higher which is designed to provide motivational messages for children and adults in need.

During the event, some vets see a fire and think someone must have lit up some garbage. But Buckland, a former firefighter, recognizes that the smoke is not the kind that garbage would make.

So both Buckland and Marcum spring into action, running towards to smoke to discover that there's a house on fire.

After Buckland instructed Marcum to throw a rock at the window in order to let out the smoke, he ran into the burning building looking for anyone in need of assistance. And he did found someone.

I don't care what it is. I don't care if it's a Chia pet. It's coming out. So I grab it, run out the door with it, put it in the yard. And I'll be if it wasn't a cat.

After providing mouth-to-mouth on the cat, Buckland says the animal revived just enough to freak out! Thankfully, however, the cat was ultimately fine and the human members of the family had been away on holiday so no one was injured.

But the best part of the story is the way it inspired kids who witnessed the heroics. Buckland had to remove his mask at one point to get some oxygen after being inside a burning building. As the children gathered around to witness the moment, Buckland told them they'd have to keep his true identity a secret.

And in that way, both Batman and Captain America became real for the people of West Virginia, even if but for a brief moment.

So well done Jeff and Troy -- you know how to make people believe in heroes.

You should become a villain Snoop. Your thing? Throwing cats in trees.

It is your density. Errrrr ahhhh ummm, you errr uhhh DESTINY!

If this was a comic story Batman and Captain America would be fighting each other before they noticed the fire. Then they'd team up to help save anybody (or animal). Afterwards Batman would be like "This don't change anything..." and Captain America would be like "The Avengers 2 is going to make more money than Batman/Superman :p" and then he'd run away.
