Reasons to like the SSC Marvel Board

I like the SSF Board because......

It keeps me entertained and up to date on the new stuff that's coming out, whether it be collectibles or anything else Marvel related. I also learn a few things from people like yours truly fuzzo, such as measuring scale. It's also a place to share my passion for these collectibles.

Ditto on what you said. I have come across so many other boards where they are overpopulated by the kind of people you mentioned. This is one of two boards where I don't feel like actually yelling out expletives after reading some people's posts.

Psychologically, it reinforce our identity and who we are by expressing our passion and seeking out those who share the same passion, reason, critique, etc. And bashing, disagreeing, critique on those who we are not. These toys, statues are representation of ourself.

If they discount bullseye to 99c I may buy some for target practice, and maybe a few hulk busts for my friends in dentistry......

Blah...good idea. They should charge $1 for each Hulk bust...that way I can be ready for the upcoming Conan statue.

There be trolls here, though. Plenty of them. There are also "oversensitive" Medicom and Sideshow fanboys who refuse to process criticism. There is the additionally strange behavior of piling on people who like to nit about small details. That seems to be one of the most "socially acceptable" behaviors here, though damned if I understand why. I like these boards too, and agree that they are better than some others, but no place is perfect. . .

Really? hmm I guess I must have missed those posts (except for a string of posts that namecalling Bowen fanboy dude started it seems ok). :x When I add criticism it seems to spur a balanced debate most of the time, instead of the "ignore him and post good stuff only" or "bash and burn him" I see on some other boards with rabid fanboys. Look at the punisher, bullseye thread or hulk bust, many came out and openly spoke their minds about what they did or didn't like. Sure it's not 100% proof but seems better than most other boards I've seen.

I even started a thread on Punisher's lack of height for a 1:4 which didn't seem to do too bad on sparking discussion.

I was going to join Statue Marvels but I read somewhere that they mostly talk about Bowen stuff and that the forum is being run by a tyrant so I opted to stay!
