Looks like a typical Hollywood oversaturated CGI action packed movie that will be forgotten in 3 months. At least none of those scenes were in the original movie so they are not doing a direct remake. And I read in EW that they changed the bad guys from China to North Korea in post production because they didn't want to piss off the Chineese market.

I think the original is OK on a nostalgic basis, but it's not a classic by any stretch.

Yeah, this is the one that was filmed almost three years ago before's MGM's financial woes. Lucky for them Hemsworth is a huge name now and the other guy is on the rise due to The Hunger Games.

This movie has one thing going for it, its similar to the original, they're not going for a dead on remake.
