What has Rockstsr San Diego worked on since RDR?

I doubt we'll be seeing Marstons son again, I bet they'll make a new character for every game like GTA and the Red Dead before it.

Oh, dear lord, let it be true. If they could deliver as compelling a story as the original's on Next Gen, I would be set. These are the types of games we need; gripping storytelling with depth. That being said, I wouldn't want it to focus on Jack, at all. Actually, I'm hoping they utilize the GTA anthology formula to weave an intricate world in the West featuring a variety of characters. Hell, I'd love it if they utilized the GTA V multiple characters formula. Imagine this: a farmer is deputized by the Marshal of a town, and, upon the Marshal's death, is forced into the position (which he reluctantly accepts) by the lack of any law & order in the region. Throughout the duration of the game, you actually switch between the protagonist and the antagonist to gain a sense of perspective about the various dimensions of the characters.

I don't understand why Rockstar don't make more use of the maps/worlds they so lovingly create.

We don't NEED games built from the ground up.

I would happily play LA Noire 2 set in exactly the same LA with no graphical improvements ..... just add in all the extras missing from that game to make the world feel more alive, and give us new characters and storylines.

I'd be ecstatic to play on the exact same Red Dead Redemption map with new characters, stories, and features.

To a certain extent Rockstar did this with GTA4 with the two amazing add ons.

Why not to their other games? ....or one step further and create full games.

You don't always have to spend 5+ years building a game engine.

Would love a sequel but I think it would have to be a prequel as wasn't the original it set in the last days of the cowboy?

A sequel would surely be less 'cowboy' so to speak.

A game with a young John Marston in his gang would do me nicely.

Maybe they could bother porting Redemption to PC first. It's only been three years.

I would agree. In the case of LA Noire, that huge detailed city was nice but a complete waste on that game. I bet some of that map was used in GTA V.

I think sidious- 66 is on the money. Probably a prequel when John was a outlaw; then how things came to be.

Didn't care for his grown up son and squealing voice.

They definitely should go way back before Red Dead took place. I'd like to see different Indian tribes and territories you can encounter and play as. Of course if Marston doesn't come back it would be interesting to play as a different character. You should be able to join a friend's story mode for co-op too.

What if that was one of the characters you played as, in the event that they did something similar to GTA V? Playing as a native who's fighting for his home, an outlaw who's fighting for his own vices, and a lawman fighting for justice, all in the same game sounds like it'd be an awesome experience.

why is everyone so sure a sequel is being made? the president of that company just used this game as an example. Along with Borderlands and something else.

RDR was a great game, I wouldn't mind if a sequel is made. But seeing how the first game was at the turn of the century, would a sequel have to be set immediately after, to keep the "Western" feel?
