Reinhardt's Predator: If it bleeds, I can customize it.

This one is for Reinhardt! Full body, head, and armor paint. His was the first Freddy custom I did (after my own) and he was gracious enough to wait for him until I got to his Predator so I could save on shipping. Well, his wait is over. Here you go, Reinhardt.

I only did one side of the back since the armor obscures the entire other side.

That looks amazing!!! The details on the head and body are outstanding, and from the two pics, the body armor looks phenomenal! The blood is an awesome touch and really really came out well too. He looks so menacing now, I'm not sure if I'm going to want to pose him with or without his bio mask now. Decisions, decisions....

I would want to display it without the mask myself. Besides, you may want to be very careful about putting the mask on and off. I tried to avoid painting too much on the mandibles since I'm not using the industrial strength paint Hot Toys uses, but if you heat the mask up to make it soft before pushing it on gently, you shouldn't have a problem.

If you look closely at some of these pics you can see I even gave the collar its proper yellow and brown striping effect.

The mouth doesn't look this purple in person; it's actually more pink, but it does have purple veins in it which you can barely see here.

I'm very excited to know these two figures will soon be in their owner's hands. Thanks very much for your patience. This is the first full repaint I've done on a P1. I had to screen capture about 100 images from the DVD and Bonus Material to get that body pattern looking proper. This was a fun piece. I can't wait to have enough time to do my own.

Do you have any pics of the base?

You had said you thought the base looked too toy-like, and I agreed that there was something off about it, but the more I looked at it, the more I thought the paint apps were actually pretty good. I wouldn't have done much differently. The thing that bothered me at all about it was that it was all shiny, which I think gave it that toy appearance.

That being the case, all I did for the base was to mask off the puddle and some of the surrounding bank, and then I gave the rest of it a good dose of Dullcoat to matte everything. The puddle still looks wet, and some of the soil around it is still shiny like it's moist. IMO, that's really all it needed. And really, the only way to make the plants look more realistic would be to pull them out and replace them with similar looking stuff from a craft store like Michaels. I'll probably do that with mine when the time comes.

If you still want pics of it, I can post some tomorrow for you.
