Repainted Sideshow Plo Koon

Figured i would post this in here as well. This was a commission done for a fellow member i just finished up on. Alot of fun to paint and very well detailed.

This isn't one of the figures that I would normally think of repainting, since the original paint job is pretty good. But this is very well done! Kudos.

Hey thanks. :chew Your right it wasnt a bad factory paint job alittle off on the original colors and for some reason Sideshow loves to pile on the paint so you lose alot of the detail until you strip it.

I wasn't aware of how think it was applied until I started stripping the heads. SS has some great sculpts. I just recently stripped the Slave Brent and prior to taking the paint off I was thinking what an ugly piece of work. Once the paint was off the sculpt is great. I was really amazed at all the detail which was not visible due to he paint.

Shoot, when you put it like that my merely standard SSC one looks like crap! That repaint is killer!

The factory paint looks pretty good, but yours takes it to the next level & even thins the sculpts appearance down making it much less flat & toylike. Welldone

Thanks guys. I really enjoy repainting the Star Wars alien characters. It seems like you can do alot more with them as far as color and detail. Ill have alot more coming up. :emperor

Wow, yours looks so much better! I didn't realize how shabby the goggles were painted until you put those side by side like that. You must have an amazingly steady hand.

Repaint looks awesome. I actually love the shiny 'tubs' coming down the mask on the factory paint job, but the skin tone work is excellent - love the ears...
