I was in a cleaning frenzy this weekend and knocked Spidey off his pedestal. He only fell about 3 feet, and what do you think broke? The delicate fingers on either hand? Nope. His elbow, under the cloth. Little pieces of red polystone that is the webbed stripe on the arm also came off, but would be easy to glue back, but the main break is the elbow which is completely covered by cloth.

I guess I could rip the seam, glue him and try to sew it back up and then glue the outside pieces on.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, I guess if you have confidence in your seamster(essing? :D) skills then give it a shot. Does it seem like a clean break underneath?

It doesn't feel like a clean break, seems to be a couple of pieces floating around.

And Bob - that was one of my first inclinations.

the unclean break may be an issue.
I might would try to pick up a cheap syringe, fill it with super glue and stick it thru the cloth and try to glue it back together.
Then snip the fabric in a not-so-visible spot and fish out the pieces. Im betting the holes the pieces leave in the sculpt will not show thru the fabric.

.. otherwise... new spidey

e-mail Sideshow and tell them that the product arrived broken :monkey3

j/k Sideshow

In all seriousness, sorry to hear Dave. Hope you find a solution.

Ive seen a few broken medicom comic figures that have the tight spandex suits, and when people try to cut the spandex, things really get worse so Im not sure if you want to go that route. It's going to be damn hard to get the spandex all back in place again depending on how big you cut the hole.

Beg the Mistress of the Web for a late Christmas wish. Seriously.

Improve your chances by making an a$$ out of yourself on one of the messages you can leave for sideshow, so that she puts it on the podcast and has to give you your wish.

I'd seriously consider purchasing a new one, I have the Spidey PF myself and judging by the fabric I think anything you do to the cloth will just end up making things worse.

I'm really surprised the elbow broke though rather than some of the other parts of the statue.

I'm sorry to hear about that. But hey, it's Spiderman, he can fix it with his web. Peter Parker always mixed some appropriate concoction into his web shooters to fit the occasion. :wacky

I'll tell you what Dave, if there is one PF SSC has alot left over it's Spidey. Throw your weight around or cry to them like a little girl. You can even pick it up, to save shipping cost and while there snoop around.

Huh? Was that for me? How is simply stating what you wish for Christmas making an a$$ out of yourself? the logic escapes me. Jealous much?

Good luck Dave, I hope you are able to come up with a good fix for this.
