The plactic covering shouldn't have been on those busts.

Who ever the rocket scientist came up with this great idea should be awarded with excellency and should even get a big bonus this Christmas :clap

They should really consider putting those plastic coverings on every piece they ship out. Harsh plastic is perfect for a delicate surface. :monkey5

i heard a thin layer of steel wool will also make for a great surprise upon arrival!

Finally got my replacement bust in today and am pretty happy with it. No hard plastic covers, just a soft foamy wrap around the bust. No major flaws/scuffs on the front or back of the bust like the original one I received. The only flaws I noticed were on the back of the neck where there are a few lines that look like cracks in the red paint before it was "clear coated" so it is sealed but slightly noticeable.

I just boxed up the custom stealth LS bust to ship off to the buyer and one thing that I did not do is insert those godforsaken covers. More harm than good...

Here are a few quick pictures. Very happy that I decided to wait on a replacement and got a decent paint job. I was worried about getting one as bad as my first one especially when Sideshow said their replacements were flawed. This one is nearly perfect other than the one problem on the back of the neck.

****, I can't wait for mine to get here! ahhhh

nice stuff natrix, at least the damage is somewhere it wont be visible.

but in your mind.. you know it's there. :D j/k

congrats natrix! for me i was fortunate enough to get a clean one.

personally it would still bug me, but with a piece like this, where it is probably safe to say that none are 100% flawless, I'd deal with it as best I could. :lol
