does anyone think thay should make some pfs i would like mr white!
or all of them?

Full set or nothing.
And I dont see them making a full set.
But I would buy them if they did..... :monkey1

Since the 1/6 figures crashed and burned, even being poor quality, I don't think SS would even consider PFs.

I don't think the film is popular enough, nor are the designs exciting enough on their own merits to warrant this. I think Pulp Fiction could work, however, if the head sculpts were good enough. So could Kill Bill.

yea suppose it would be awesome about pulp fiction a jules and vincent would be could as long as the headsculpts where well done!

if you watch the film it isnt just a ''guy in a black suit'' the guys
____ing rule!

no big deal.
by those standards Scarface, & Bond pieces are also boring sideshow releases :lol

which they are. those are LAME PFs compared to SW, Marvel, LOTR, Universal, etc.

if what youre looking for in your pieces is purely superficial, then youre 100% correct.
I have to like the actual "character" portrayed in the movie first. Then its design second.

I love Reservoir Dogs but PF versions would look crap, the Bond PF's were laughable. I'd maybe up for Comiquettes of scenes from the movie providing the faces were spot on. .

I agree, but something like Reservoir Dogs you can commemorate the film by getting a nice poster or a movie still. A mixed media sculpture just seems like a waste of what that medium can offer. The character designs are so simplistic and real world I don't think there would be a "thats cool" element to a PF of them.

I'd say the same thing for Men In Black as well. I don't finds statues of people in tuxs or business suits very interesting whatsoever even if I like the character or movie.

agree with both of you there. A poster combined with a fully sculpted piece would be best.

If you can capture the essence of a good character in a sculpted format, then regardless of how visually boring the character may be, the piece would be worth it. All it needs to do is be able to evoke the full context of the character's role in the film, and it will have done the job it was designed for.

hmm. Sure proper execution can match the potential of the character, but not all characters have the same potential to be interesting collectibles.

I am HUGE To Kill a Mockingbird fan, its seriously 1 of my favorite books and movies of all time, maybe even above Star Wars...but do I want to spend $300 on an Atticus Finch Premium Format Figure? :lol No.

I think most collectors feel that way too. I think it even extends down to specific characters within lines, thats why SW characters that aren't as well known, but have sexy designs get made in PF form while more major characters don't.

I definitely understand the commercial value of that way of looking at it. And to be honest, I can think of no character who I'd want in PF that was as boring to look at as an anonyous criminal in a suit. But I'm sure that there's atleast one. I'll work on it.

Hmm. The best I could come up with was Benjamin Franklin, but he'd have period clothes, so that's more interesting than an everyday 21st century suit. Not much though. Also, he's not fictional.

Back to the drawing board.
