Sorry for the crappy pics. I just took them real fast. I'm sure others will post nicer ones.

One thing- I cannot figure out how to talking mechanism works. Apparently you have to remove one of the side details (under the left "ear" piece) to access the talk button. But I have no idea how to remove that piece without breaking it. Anyone else try this yet?

Over all I love this. I just wish I could get it to talk without fear of breaking it.

Ok, so Robby's head rotates, wrists rotate, waist rotates (somewhat), his legs are jointed at the hip allowing minimal leg movement (wish his knees had some articulation but I guess the real suit had hardly any in the knees anyway), his ankles rotate and his arms are somewhat movable at the "shoulder".

The figure comes shipped inside the robot suit, his pants are taped to the underside of the plastic tray along with the instructions (very poorly translated into English). I haven't tried to remove the figure yet.

I still can't figure out how to remove the side piece without damage to access his speaking button. Maybe I'll get brave later.

EDIT: Ok, I got the little panel off the side of the head to access the talk button. I put an elastic cord through the fragile clear plastic hoops and gently pulled. Robby speaks several phrases from the film and his "mouth" lights up. I wish he had lights inside his head, but oh well...

Mine arrived today and I posted some observations in the other thread (didn't want to hijack yours, SpaceCrawler!)

He's about as tall as the HT T-600, so he's got some good height and bulk on him to help him stand out!

Yeah, it's a picture thread and only the OP has bothered posting any. Just impatient to see more is all.

Sorry for necroposing, but is there someone who owns this Medicom Robby the Robot who doesn't mind posting a few pics? There is a severe lack of pics for this figure, thanks to anyone who's willing to take on the task!! Also a shot with the lights on would be great, there's actually no pics on the internet showing the light up feature, now that's just crazy! :panic:

I would love to have this... need to check on prices as I have no idea if its skyrocketed, sunk like a stone or been stable.

Either way, its one I'd love to have.

So it looks like they are re-releasing this figure but without the electronics (I'm guessing they are absent, as there is no mention in description), minus the gun, and minus the guy inside. It's about half the price of the original release, but I can't tell from the descriptions on various websites if it's made just like the original minus the things I listed, or different somehow. Anyone know?
