"I started out this morning by writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel For streaming. Ideally 10 episodes for a few seasons to really get to the heart of the Characters in there younger years - " - Stallone

I read everything in Stallone's Rocky voice and it all sounds like stuff Rocky would say. Sly still got it, tho a series is not necessary. A Rambo prequel would be more interesting in Vietnam, ironically, the same time period this Rocky series takes place.

What's to learn from a prequel? Rocky 1 tells us all we need to know.

Agreed on a Rambo prequel instead. More lines from a younger Trautman.

I also question whether there's really a need for this. The appeal of the Rocky (and Creed) franchise has been Stallone himself playing this character through the decades. We watched him in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s. There's a sense of watching almost a lifetime play out on screen. I don't know if a new actor taking on the role could feel like being part of that.

Well I didn't think Creed was a good idea and I was........................RIGHT!!! Rocky 1-6 thats my 12 rounds. Don't need to know Apollo was &**& ing around behind his wife that he seemed so faithful too in the Rocky series only to be cheating on her "off camera" to spawn new movies we didn't need to see. I would have rather seen the Drago aftermath movie which was the best part of the Creed movies.

Yeah, I have to agree. I don’t think there’s a need for a prequel series. The actor’s themselves made that franchise what it is as much as the story and writing did. It would be too distracting to see others in their roles.

It was however very fun to read the script because all those voices are so familiar that I could easily read it as if they were saying the lines. I might be more interested in a prequel novel rather than a series.
