I was going through some of my old skateboard DVDs the other day and I found a 411VM DVD highlighting Rodney Mullen. I was a huge skater in high school and I totally forgot how good the man is. I thought I'd share his talents with the freaks. ENJOY:

The BEST:

I know Daewon beat him in Almost, but serisouly I like Rodney's style better so my statement was opinion obviously. Daewon's definitely up there though.

I have always had mad respect for PJ Ladd. Like I said, Rodney was always my fav as a kid and seeing these vids bring back some nostalgic memories. The handstands, the long manuals, THE DARK SLIDE, everything. I'm sure there are much better skaters out there with their own styles, but I love MULLEN!

nope. I think the guy's name was Gelfand aka Ollie.

He invented the ollie, not the FLATGROUND ollie. Gelfand did it in pools and stuff, but I think Mullen was the first to do it on flatground if I remember correctly. Technically I don't know if you can say Mullen "invented" it, but he was the first to do it.

Crap, I was thinking of the kickflip.:D He DID invent that.

Actually you're right. Mullen was the first to do the ollie on flatground. Found this:

https://www.rankopedia.com/ZoneID=3/16895/Favorite-Trick-Invented-by-Rodney-Mullen/Step1/9236.htm

John Rodney Mullen (born August 17, 1966 in Gainesville, Florida) is a professional freestyle skateboarder, and considered to be one of the most influential freestyle skaters in the history of the sport. He is credited with inventing many tricks, including the flat-ground Ollie, the kickflip, the Heelflip, the 360 flip, and the Impossible
