yeah it's doubtful it will ever get made. would love to see it, but studios think they need to make money all the time and the last to Hellboys didn't do so well and that was with after dvd/blu ray sales. of course we all know what's happened to that market with downloading taking over.

Most of his role would be a stunt double anyway. :lol

Thought the first was meh. Second was better. They might make a bit more coin now that comic book flicks are popular.

True, I did notice that the last two were released up against some pretty big movies as well, or at least I think so from what I recall. Maybe if they released it at a better time it would do better..

Guillermo del Toro said that in the past Hellboy 2 was able to get made because the dvd sales helped a lot. the studio so a good profit

but now studios cannot rely on disk sales so studios need the movies to do very well at box office. they can't rely on the movie selling because movies now don't sell like they used to sell

the other problem is that Guillermo won't do the movie for less than 100 million (or 150 or something like that) He has a clear vision about what he wants and how he wants it to be, what he needs for the end of Hellboy, and the studios don't want to give that much to the project.

the first hellboy was made for 60 million, and it barely got a greenlight

If the studio is serious about making the film for less money, they should get Robert Rodriguez, he can make it for $200 bucks in his house :lol

:nono no no, he wants the money to create the sets and the practical effects, it has to be an apocalyptic movie of big proportions, all that takes money. (he would kind of be making the end of the world type stuff, that can't be cheap)

what some people suggest is that he change the script to make it less big, less sets, less effects etc.

i doubt he will get any more movies after the box office of Sin City 2 lol

Oh, I thought you meant salary. I thought it was very high, but these days, who knows. :lol

i don't know what he asks for salary but the 100 million will all go to the sets of the destruction of the city in the hands of hellboy (or in hands of the Devil or something)

he wants this gigantic scale movie, I kind of wish he toned it down and focused more on the characters. maybe set the story in some small town or a forest or something

Well when you take into consideration that a little bird costs a million dollars and you see all those little birds in blackhawk down... you're like whoa... lol

Sequel was a huge disapointment. They'd have to make everything dark and moody again to interest me.
