Hi guys!

I have 20 sideshow pieces including PFs, busts, comiquettes and maquettes and I have figured out how I'm going to display them (and 12 more coming) from now to May 09 in this wall I have. After that, I don't know what I will do. I will literally run out of room unless I start to get rid of some of my pieces.

How do you guys deal with that? If you get to the point that you have no room left to display things, what do you do? Start to display things in other rooms? Sell somethings to give room to newer things? Crumble everything together? Buy a bigger house?

I'm dealing with that right now. I have a bunch of statues boxed up and stored in the garage. Some are at my bro's apartment. Also, I been sending things back to SS those statues that I do not like.

Space is an issue that gets to be a real pain. I've run out of display room... so I've been retiring some items to storage and other stuff just gets sold. Hoping next year to move into our own home which will make things better... that is until I run out of room there :lol

One of the nice things about running out of room is it makes you realize the stuff you truly love. Like right now I have so much of my stuff in boxes and as far as whats displayed that is the stuff I truly can't give up. So if I ever need to, I could get rid of like say... SS Mace Windu cuz well, he's a nice figure and I like him but ultimately he not a favorite character of mine and could go if need be. Thats how I look at it and I'll never be Steve Sansweet and have a flippin warehouse/museum to display all my stuff.

Same issue here...I'm having to leave some stuff boxed until my wife and I move to a larger home. I've currently got Jabba + throne and the HT Powerloader that are going to have to stay boxed until we move :(

that is very sad....................i boxed up other stuff to make room for those 2 specifically.

Oh, I tried that :lol But both of them are still too large for my current display case (loader is too tall, Jabba's throne is too deep).

I'll be getting an additional one after we move in the next year.

As weird as it may sound, if you can afford it; keep going. Two reasons - most items go up in value in the long run; ensuring you could always sell for more later; and two same as above, BECAUSE they sell for more, you never know what space you might find yourself with later - but without collectibles.

Of course in moderation, you don't want to live in a house of boxes. :lol

I moved to a bigger house :rotfl

I have two main areas where I display stuff and a modest home theater where a few more pieces are displayed. Before the move, I just branched out more in the house.

I used to have everything boxed up when I was still renting an apartment and thought that my problems will be solved when I finally have my own home.

Now that I have my own apartment which is about 2 times bigger than my rented apartment, I am still amazed at how quickly I ran out of space again!!

Currently, I rotate my displays. Some go into the cabinets while others moved from the cabinets into their boxes. But the biggest problem I faced is the storage of the boxes. Usually these boxes are much larger than the items. So, do you guys keep the boxes or throw them away? If you keep the boxes, any suggestions on how to maximise storage spaces for them other than to move to a bigger house? :)

This problem is inevitable. My living room currently has a bunch of stuff I am hoping to sell soon. I think it's part of the hobby. Learn to be more selective. I am lucky so I can store boxes in an unused bedroom. Once I get proper storage in my garage setup, hopefully I'll be able to haord more crap I don't need. We're all addicts man. :lol

you got that right i ran out of room months ago but i keep buying like there's no tomorrow..........:D i got the bug.

Thats what I'm going to do.. I'm not fortunate enough to have a theater room or large Office where I can space things out... so I'm comfined to a small room and things will get bunched up. Just try to theme the bunches! ;)

As far as Boxes... they are going in the attic. Wonder if heat will warp the boxes/foam???

Yea i fell yall, I just bought my first 2 detolfs about 5 months ago and they are almost at full capacity. I got a Hot Toys Power loader and Predalien in the Boxes till I can make room for em. With my Red Skull PF that just came in My coffee table has also reached capacity. Guess Ill probably end up packing away alot of my 6in scale figs, but I guess thats a step most of you have already made

Man 90% of my stuff is boxed away in the attic! Got no room until i get a place sorted. I just hope all that expensive crap i've got isn't ruined up there!

I have just begun my collecting and I have a SS Ironman comiquette and the bowen Hulkbuster Ironman bust. I plan to collect the Street Fighter series from PopCultureShock, so thanks for the heads up about being selective!!

Very true..... This is a VERY expensive hobby/addiction!!! Not all of us (including myself) are fortunate enough to be able to afford ALL of the items I love. I mean, I'm a pretty big movie lover, and I WISH I could have all these GREAT statues :sick But as we all know, there are other priorities in life sometimes. But this would be considered at the top of my list :D

Buuuuuuuut, if anyone is thinkin of selling any let us know :)
