i didnt realize the lewis gun comes apart in the middle........:horror

i was futzing with the sandie & i saw the gun was crooked & was like WTF? then i just popped in back in place.

That does fit in quite nicely.

My first one arrived in good shape . Its very well done like the the Sargeant! Looking forward to getting my second one on Monday so
I can figure out which one will be the opener.

I finally had some time to take my Leader out of the box and take some photos.
PROS:
  • Figure is solid. Holds posses well.
  • body not loose
  • Weathering looks good.. IMO
  • Gun is really cool.
CONS:
  • Backpack needs some weathering
  • Wish it was a little cheaper
  • Gun strap is really long
Now bring on the general to complete the ranks..

I just received mine today and I really love this figure. They even have weathering on the Orange Pauldorn. In fact, I think this is one of Sideshows best figures ever, right behind Old Ben.

Now bring on more of the imperial troopers, including the Snowtrooper & Scout Trooper. And if Sideshow if reading this, I would absolutely love a McQuarie concept Stormy & Snowtrooper. Thanks Sideshow for delivering a great figure!

Just received my figure today and I'm really digging him. I missed out on the white version, so this is my first sandtrooper. No issues with him at all other than the backpack being a bit of a pain to adjust and keep in place; definitely took a few minutes to get it in place.

How are most of you connecting the straps? I've got it looped through the buckles as it would be in reality, but I haven't decided exactly where to tie them off yet to keep the pack securely in place. As of now, with too much movement the straps loosen up.

The arms and shoulders a little loose but I underessed and tightened screws (helped out quite a bit)

Heated and shaped chest piece

Applied velcro (Fuzzy side) to inside of all armor (no slip)

Touched up paint on helmet

The best armored trooper yet sideshow.....:chew

Glad to see that you used the Hasbro micro-binoculars. I've held onto mine for this exact reason! I'm going to swap out the strapping for something that looks like leather.

I need to dig out mine as well , if worse come to worse I'll just remove the strap the is currently on it. Looking forward to getting my second in a few days so I can display one standing next to the Sargent.

I wonder if SS has any more sets like the Sandies and Rebel Endor Commandos up thier sleeves???

Once Cody is released then all we need is the Airborne trooper and the
212th is good, they could do a Hoth Rebel set with Reiken , a Rebel Officer and Rebel Soldier and of cousre Kaltuu, Barada and Nikto.

Figure looks sweeter than the first Sandtrooper. Love that gun. Should have mine soon (Damn Canada always taking longer for shipping)!

Got mine last night. It is a really nice figure, the joints on mine are very tight. Here he is out of the box with my repainted SSC Sandy and a modded SSC Stormy turned black pauldron Sandy.
