Sapito/Satipo shirt or jacket?

Hey guys

I'm going to start on this figure but was wondering is it a shirt or jacket he is wearing. I thinking jacket as in the pic attached you can plainly see another pocket on teh bottom left.

If it is a jacket I have the perfect thing to use so let me know guys it's driving me nuts.

Yep, been thinking on this one for a long time too.

It's very hard to tell if it's a jacket or a safari shirt. It's so ripped up hard to tell. But when I was studying it last, I couldn't really see pockets on the lower half -- also it's a bit short for a jacket -- so my thinking was that it's a safari shirt much like Belloq's.

But either way would work, trick is finding the right one with epulates and breast packets.

It's odd, sometimes in the movie he has a belt with holster as seen above, and other shots it's gone. Personally, I like the brown belt with holster.




Hemble, a good pair of pants to get is the gray viking pants (I think DiD). Sapito's pants have no pockets and are tight around the ankles. Almost like pajama pants. Wife-beater and brown belt and you're set.

And get a bunch of spiders for his back -- it's Halloween so finding spiders now should be easier. He's too plain of a figure without a mass of spiders crawling all over him!

I assume you're using the Doc Ock figure for the sculpt?

Here's a quick suggestion , if you can't find one that has the 4 pockets, find a shirt close enough and buy 2. Use the pockets from the second shirt attached to the first.

Phew, Im glad someone started talkin about Satipo again. I forgot I wanted to do one. Just picked up a loose Doc Ock figure for 16 bucks on ebay. I think theres 1 left, but its boxed and 40 bucks or somethin.

I have the DOc Oc head for mine.. although instead of spiders I want to do a trekking version of Satipo with the basket looking pack loaded with the torches and dishes etc..

I'd like to make this guy, just haven't pulled the trigger on the Doc Ock figure yet to get the head. They're all too pricey for me for this guy.

Guys thanks heaps for the replies I have WW2 German jacket that I will be using I just have to wear and tear the hell out of it. Wor-Gar I am using the Doc Ock which is the closet thing there is as you all know.

mfisher - I'm going the basket as well as I think it will be interesting with extra gear to look at. I can't wait to see what you come with as you exceptional vignette's.

Here's a break down of what I'm using for this figure.

Head - Doc Ock
body - Soldier Story body
hands - Soldier Story
shoes - SS Indy
pants - SS Indy altered
singlet - Dragon nam
jacket - Dragon WW2 German Ramacke Paratrooper
string belt - from the bits box
Holster and belt - SS Indy
basket - from a craft shop

Hi All

Well I have his uniform sought of completed I can't decide between the 4 pocket jacket or the 2 pocket shirt, which do you guys prefer. Only thing with the 4 pocket jacket is I haven't had a chance to boil/wash and bleach to tone it down. (pics attached) and also added a few B&W pics for a little tease

Oh nearly forgot any of you guys know where I can pick up a small cane basket from.

Hard call on the jacket/shirt. I like the top pockets on the jacket -- but the shirt fits him better. I think once you really rip that sucker up it won't matter either way. As I said, I could never really tell in the movie if he even had lower pockets -- it's so tattered in the movie -- that's why it looks more like a safari shirt to me. But the pockets could be ripped and hanging off, just so hard to tell.

Best thing to do is really scan that opening scene to see if there's even one frame that shows it one way or the other.

Looks great though whichever you choose.
