DiD brought out 'Captain Millers' a few years ago, nice figure but its hard to come by these days. DiD also brought out 'Ryan' not too long ago, still around for $150 or so. And Private Daniel Jackson, but also hard to come by.

Check out Alex's Toyhaven blog, he reckons Dragon was releasing most or all of the main cast a couple of years back - but Dragon aren't in the same league as DiD and I don't know how far they got with the line or how hard they are to come by.

Heres my set... made from a a hodgepodge of mixed parts,

Looks great man. Picked up a DiD miller the other day so looking forward to starting my saving private Ryan collection :) yours looks epic tho :D

The Private Ryan movie was what got me into the hobby in the first place, here is a shoot I did with my custom squad, hope you enjoy it.

Heres my take on the sequence from the final battle scene of Saving Private Ryan where seargeant Horvath attempts to destroy the tiger tank advancing on the bridge with a bazooka.

I'm aware that the sequence isnt 100% movie accurate, I just wanted to capture the frantic action from the scene.

Here it is:

Hi guys, here is an dio I did, using my custom heads some time ago, I came across a site with this effect and decided to use it on this dio pic, hope you enjoy the result.

Rain soaked meeting with sgt Hill.

Cheers,

Peter.

Here's mine. He's also my first custom I ever made. I was initially seeking the DID figure but it was way to expensive so I ended up with only the DID sculpt and found everything else on eBay. Glad I did because, for example, this die cast Helmet here (sorry I forgot the brand) is much better then DID's which was way oversized. pretty please with the result.

Both great pieces the 2nd one has excellent weathering and rain paint job,not to say the first doesn't, but the first one wasn't out in the rain obviously.

Here are a couple of Omaha Beach scenes I did with my figures when I first came into the Hobby, this thread is a good excuse to run them again
