So yesterday I found out there's at least one other member (@FlyAndFight) who's also into building scale models. Perhaps there are even more members who have this hobby, so I figured it might be fun to share some of our work. I am creating this thread so we don't have to derail other threads. Even though it's not a true collectibles thread, I figured I'd place this thread in the Historical/Military forum because I'm guessing it's the most appropriate place.

Anyway, I'll start off with my latest build.

Custom made pilot. I Frankensteined this one from two other figures and made the visor with modelling putty.

Let's see if this thread takes off (pun intended). I'll post more pictures down the line then. And if there are other modellers around, feel free to post your work! :duff

Great idea, on this thread.

Here are some old pics of several of my scale model aircraft builds, all in 1/48th scale. Lots of scratch-building done along with after-market detailing sets added, as well as, especially with the engines and cockpits.

Great work on those! Love the details I see you made the radio wires as well on the Corsair and the Havoc. At first I made the wires from heated and stretched sprue when I started, but I recently bought elastic rigging wire to make them. I'm guessing that's what I see here too?

Another model of mine:
