What game has scared you silly?

As a kid, I remember 3am playing resident evil in the dark (the bit on the first one when the dog jumps through the window at the start) or silent hill whenever that radio crackled

I must admit, I jumped out my seat a few times during F.E.A.R

I really liked the creepiness of Silent Hill the first time I played it. The same goes for Fatal Frame. Playing that with just the ambient sound was freaky.


And can you slow your sig down? It's moving too fast.

Resident Evil was pretty scary. Half-life 2 had a few scarry parts. Doom 3 (although that got way too repetitive). Bioshock was scary.

Silent Hill, the whole series in general was pretty freaky. Def the scariest video game I have played. Hopefully the 5th one they are working on is scary and a damn good game at the same time.

Silent Hill by far. The atmosphere is intense and it doesn't slow down. And the best music ever in a video game.
I just hope the new U.S. company doesn't screw up Silent Hill 5.

Turok for N64. It was my first FPS. I remember playing it for hours at night with dim lighting. There's a part of the game where you have to crawl through some dark tunnels and then BOOM! giant rats would be all over you. Creeped me out. I would always jump.

Nice sig, btw. There should be more beauty in the world.

The game that freaked me out was Theif, it was the first game I played with surround sound. I kept freaking out that something was behind me.

Resident Evil, i was like 12 with my firends and that first scene where the zombie head turn to face you. All shouting instuction at the player "RUN!" "FIRE THE GUN!"

Talk about a flashback. I was at a buddys house and we played it for the first time real late at night and that dog DID scare the piss out of us. I think that was the only one that ever scared me like that. I never played the silent hill games though.
