Looks worth a watch. I liked Scream 4.

I really liked Scream 4, second favorite in the series, this looks good, but I'm weary with it being the first without Craven at the helm.

Why is it being dumped in the January release slot? Should have gone up against Halloween this year.

Winter/Spring is oddly a popular time for horror films. Some of the Hannibal Lecter films were released around then and did well. Scream 3 was a February release in 2000.

I'm glad it's being spread out. Halloween Kills October 2021, Scream January 2022, Halloween Ends October 2022.

I kind of agree. I can enjoy an original movie, maybe one sequel but after that it starts to feel very redundant.

Those sucked after the second. Movies like Spaceballs, Dracula Dead and Loving it and the original Scary Movie are good because they are unique, Scary Movie spawned a slew of parody movies in the world and oversaturated it.

Wonder if they have the cajones to kill one or more of the "Big 3" that have survived all the movies. Or have one or more of them be the the killer.

Or have all three of them be the killer, working together, and then die at the end.

I do think 1 of the 3 will die, trailer points to Dewey, shown fight GF alone, Gail running somewhere screaming and having to be stopped, possibly to the scene and body.

Yup. I almost forgot scary movie sucked after 2. And we got some really terrible spoof films that were absolutely dumb as all hell. Epic movie, dance movie, meet the Spartans , among many others. Awful films

Yup, the gags got cheaper and lamer with each new spoof film. Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2 and Not Another Teen Movie were good, the others weren't enjoyable and border on Sharknado levels.
