Looks better than the regular Anakin but even so it's not a figure I regret cancelling.

Yes, much better than the first version. Even the base is awesome! Still, I hope SSC sticks to the regular base for all upcoming SW 12inches. A special base is fine for special cases.

This looks much better, I have to say - the lips are just a tad glossy, but look the right color and it could be all the bright light!

Second time around is the charm!

I just hope they have the production Vader on display and thats not painted by someone from this side of the world... Its tough to tell from the pics of the figure inside the box if the paint aps are the same....

Btw, did we ever come to a resonable explanation for the "Sith Eye syndrome"? I remember something 'bout contacts, but that was a joke, right? It's 38° C here, and I'm of for a cool beer in a German Beergaten. Later!

I'm not sure how can anyone say this is "WAY" better than the original Anakin. The only differences being the eye color, the lip color and the base. The figure itself is exactly the same, in regards to sculpt, clothing and detailing, right?

Well, better paint apps can do a lot, but yeah, it's not such a big difference quality wise. I was hoping against hope that SST would've done something about the large lower mandible.
Still, cool figure.
