Hey guys just wanted to post some quick pics of a bashed Rick Grimes figure that I did. Sorry for the crappy iphone 6 photos. I used the Redman casual set. Kept his shirt un-tucked and didn't use the knife, jacket or walkie talkie. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Here's mine. Redman set, TTM19, painted by Rahmier. I need to replace the boots and weather the clothes a bit more.
Coincidentally, that decal was made by Hunter.

Dear Turd,

how did you get that hole to look so natural? Using a pin or somethin to pull the threads? I usuallt use sandpaper to fray the legs/pockets, but holes are something I've yet to figure out.

I forget how I did it exactly. I think I used a poker tool I use for sculpting and stretched the whole out using said tool.

Oh man, those typos I made are killing me. For some reason my autocorrect wasn't kicking in while I haphazardly tapped words out. :lol

I have some sculpting tools as well. I'll give it a try and see how it goes. Thanks! It looks so natural.

I didn't even notice hahaha
Thank you very much, dude.

I added some sweat to the chest, back, and pits (in case I want to do the "Rick" pose again), added some blood, and added that hand wrap. I just added it to hide the joint since it looked so nice with the watch covering the other. The more I mess with the clothes, the more I want to weather them. Does anyone sell rings on here? I don't really want to take a hand to the store and start poking the fingers into random necklace links.

I want to get the shirt around this level eventually.

I've got a custom Season 4-5 jacket for Rick if anyone's interested. Similar to the Redman set except with more accurate lambs fur collar. Let me know.

Hope I'm not too late to the show.

He's not finished yet, got the REDMAN RM01 khaki shirt on the way which I'll want to add sweat marks to, but I don't know how. I'm thinking maybe use a tea bag to dab on certain areas, or darkening some water with a wash then dabbing it on... I don't know, could someone help me on that one.

I used the REDMAN RM03 set for this figure, on an an ACI Christian body, and I've got the RM04 set on the way that I'm gonna use my spare head on to create a late season 4-early season 5 Rick with. Gonna make the little tear on the Jeans with a knife, and then push something through to make it bigger.

I just used different ratios of water to black paint for the sweat. For the darker parts, use a little more paint than water, for the lighter parts, use more diluted paint. I practiced on an old shirt to see what mixes did what. I just put some black paint in one side of a bowl and water on the other. Paint first, then rub it in water...

It worked for me, so that's all I can tell you. I just messed with it until I got comfortable with painting the actual shirt.

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of either tea bags or the method you just mentioned. I'll have a play around and see what I can do.

Cheers!
