Picked this up on eBay yesterday cheaper than it would have cost me on Sideshow even with the 20.00 coupon. Eager to get it and check it out.

Crap!
I just opened this up to check it. I tried the motivator twice and it stopped working.

Today I managed to get the motivator up by gently prying at it. It started working, but then got stuck again. I repeated the quick fix, but I'm not sure what the problem is? I'm not pressing it down with great force... gently till it clicks. Anyone else having this problem?

I called SSC. They're sending me a new head. It's a shame this had to happen, other than the spring function the rest of the figure looks great!

Just got this in the mail and have to say that i am pleasantly surprised. It is a great figure. I had stayed away from R2 because of the mixed reviews (and hope that Hot Toys makes one) but R5 is pretty cool. I think will probably grab the imperial units when they are released as well. Battle Droids and astromechs are well done by Sideshow.

I'm thoroughly enjoying all of the recent droid figures from Sideshow...I think they look great. R5D4turned out really well...

....and I like Sideshow's R2D2 a lot...looks great with Skippy....

....and now that Threepio is here too, we're one step closer to a really cool looking droid sale!

....and I'm looking forward to seeing how those Imperial versions of the astromechs turn out. Speaking of Imperial Droids...I would LOVE it is Sideshow produced a Death Star Droid. With this great finishes they are acheiving in production lateley, that droid could like really cool...

I picked up mine about a week ago but finally got him out of the box. Here he is with his now VERY inadequate little bother Medicom R5. :lol

I got my R5D4 this morning. A superb figure and highly recommended. I love the neatly sized box it comes in too.

I caved and bought this, a local shop had a discount on him, picked him up for $150 (that's a $58 discount on their normal price) Think this will go great with my Sandtroopers. My recent purchase of R2-Q5 got me hooked on astromechs.

I'm a little late to the race on this one but received it yesterday after using a $30 coupon...I like it a lot more than I thought I would and think it's weathered much better than R2.

I never understand why people collect those expensive, noisy, smelly, high maintenance things.
