Nice, I was waiting for your photo archive to make an appearance, Sergiu! In the second photo the Scout appears relatively large and bulky over the bike, much like the SSC version.

I think it may come down to articulation. I don't know what kind of body will be under the Scout but I'm not generally a fan of SSC bodies and find their troopers improve their posture and flexibility with judicious body-swapping.

What i meant by 'one piece' is that the the faceplate can't be flipped up on the helmet which would have been nice:)
Although that would be neat functionality, we never saw that in the movie (and personally I like the troopers being anonymous... knowing there was a face under there would bug me :lol), so I'm glad they kept it simple. It's sort of like people wanting a headsculpt with the Spacetrooper. I'd rather those kinds of behind-the-scenes nods are left out.

But he isnt wearing his helmet at all is he in that picture?

*edit* the picture Im Talking about seems to have been in a deleted post

You mean the Joe Johnston/Spacetrooper pic (let me know if you're referring to something else)? No, he's got the helmet off completely but not sure what difference it makes? My point is I'd prefer if behind-the-scenes functionality/personalities are not included with these figures.

Ah, gotcha, Aliaz. Thanks for advising.

A moveable visor wouldn't add to the figure unless you were going to actually play with it like a toy.

I like my Imperial troopers with helmets full on. I don't mind a 1:1 Scout helmet to have a flip up visor, in fact it is necessary for accuracy, but not on a 1:6 figure

Let's try to make this a bit easier

Looks well undersized to me, notably the back and the seat to far forward, I'll wait for in hand shots and see how my scout fits the Hasbro version before deciding

You can see from that, if the scout was to lean forward his head would be in the right position to the handle bars unlike the 1/6 where his head would be in front of them

A couple of pics for comparison I don't like what I see, photo prop model, blue is the ssc bike rider overlaid based it on the head size but shows the proportions welll

Hasbro made them 15-16 yrs ago

It was the single best thing Hasbro ever did in 1/6. Their figures in general were a little over 1/6 in scale (head size especially) so the bike is about 10% too large overall, but it's a really remarkably cool piece with a great tilting display stand system. I have two (the SSC scout is going on one) and with only minor weathering they hold up next to SSC or HT figures.

The Hasbro Scout (well one at least - there were two) looks amazing with some custom work done on it too. The helmet is a really good sculpt, as are the gloves (not the normal oven mitt Hasbro hands.)

The SSC will sink it totally in small detail and finish though - stuff like handle bars/grips, control buttons and strut details will be amazing on the SSC bike, but are obviously greatly simplified on the Hasbro.

Here is the Hasbro overlay in pink/purple the fronts cut off but you can see it's the longest proportion wise the extra length being at the front vanes while the body is the same proportion as the prop model , scale I'm un sure of as the Hasbro figures where shorter then 1/6 but there armour oversized so this overlay is based on the main body of the speeder allining at the front, handles and foot posts

I also agree with above. If all you want is a pretty nice (after a repaint) speederbike in your collection and its going to be displayed on a high shelf or somewhere you can't get right up close to it then go with the Hasbro. If you want a center piece than go with he SSC.

Size isn't everything. Just because it's a little small doesn't mean it can't completely satisfy your needs. :)
