Will we ever see main character 1:1 busts? I would pounce on a Vader bust.

What busts would you like to see from SW's?

thats a pretty good question, life sized busts would be awesome, and id even like to see some smaller mini busts.

Well SS said in the panel they don't really want to do Human Busts so that rules out a lot. Now as for Vader, MR holds that license until the end of the year, after that it will be available but at what price. Unless SS plans to start doing lots of helmeted charactes I don't forsee Vader coming out since the cost to get the ability would more then likey be way to high to do just a few peices. The only chance is to get the current contract changed to allow Vader but then why would another co want the helmet license if they cant do vader or have to compete with another vader.

This is a line that lends itself to aliens and exotic creatures. A human sculpt would be boring and much more difficult to pull off. But most main characters were human so it also lends itself to secondary characters. Although I can think of one female Jedi that would be the most amazing 1:1 bust ever created

Of course Maul is a key character. Without him, the amount of exhibition in TPM would be cut down by at least 30 minutes.

I was under the impression that there was no license conflict. SSC *could* do a helmeted character, they just aren't that interested in doing them.

Obviously in a world that contains prop replica helmets, there's a more direct competition for the collector dollar there, but I don't think MR's exit from the license means we won't have someone pick up 1:1 helmets (or rather, 1:1 helmets that are more accurate than Rubies). So unless SSC were to be the one to do that, I don't see how helmeted busts are ever anything but an "also ran" in the marketplace.

Well I asked SS about Vader directly and they said its something they would like to do but cant at the time. That to me means that this is a license conflict. That led to the well MR is almost gone so what about after that question. I was told it something they are looking into but that all they can say.

They should do a Chewbacca bust with implanted hair. That would be a really awesome bust. And probably easier to develop than the 12-inch figure.
