Well, since this is my first custom, I thought to post photos.

It's not much, a quick repaint of the head, and I dirtied up the armour, I'm also thinking of adding a bit of battle damage to the armour too.

I'm also not entirely happy with the repaint, but I'm happy enough for the time being, in the future I may strip it and repaint it.

But yes, here's the photos, any comment/constructive critiscism?

I'm also thinking of some water treatment, to get the tunic and cape looking better.

Nice work. What colors did you use for the Hair and Beard?

the armour was extremely watered down black paint, that was wiped a bit and dabbed with a tissue.

The hair and beard were the following reaper paints:
harvest brown
oiled leather
chestnut gold
golden blond
golden shadow

I'm not too sure on why he looks yellow, I think it may just be the lighting and colour balance of the photos, because he looks fine up on the shelf.

I like it! You did a great job for a first repaint. :duff

I do agree that the skin looks a little flat, but with some tweaking that could be fixed. Add some warmth with a redder shade skin tone and some detail in the lines of the face with watered down burnt sienna and skin tone mix.

Also, the beard is too stark. It needs to be blended a bit on the edges. You can do this with skin tone, lighter brown as well. You want it to look seamless. This takes a lot of work, and a lot of time honing your technique. But you will get there.

Like I said, for a first... this is insanely good work. My first human was a bloody mess. :lol

upon suggestion, I've done a quick fix up to th paint on him, adding some highlights and detail to the face, and shortening/recolouring the beard.

The eye needs touched up, but that's something for another time, when I've got some better brushes available to me.

So yes, here's the new head paint:

Heh, sorry for a double post -but-

I re-repained the head, to add some more definition, and would like to know what you guys think, and get some tips/advice and some constructive critiscism.

One of the eyes looks REALLY off in the photos, but it doesn't look like that sitting here, odd.

Nice Work Mollins, but i would lose the doll dot when fixing the eyes and gloss them over,

for a good example compare a hot toys figure to any sideshow figure and you'll see wnat i mean
