Why do SS keep emailing me to tell me there's one left of a certain statue. Then when I go their site 5 secs after I get the email, the statue always sold out or gone? What's the point of them always emailing people when there's really no items left every single time? They always send a email saying there's 1 or 2 left of 3 items and always there's never even a chance to get any of it. :monkey1

The same reason they place all those things at the checkout line, while you wait to cash out.... Come get the thing you really want.. Oh, and there aren't any left... Well maybe you'll buy something else when you find you can't buy what you really wanted.. I agree it's really annoying too!

so if you had benefited from one of those emails & scored an item would you create a thread thanking them?...........:dunno

Hmm yes very good point. They do always say on thee ails since the ex is gone why not order our reg version and save a little money. I think you might have nailed this down. :clap

Yes I will if I ever get one. I promise I will if I get one from these emails. :)
Well I will update this thread if it happens since the mods would not like me to started another thread.

Would you rather they not sell the stuff they find?

I guess if it's really possible to get one of these someday then why not? I agree it's better than nothing. It's funny how I'm always online when I get these email. Then in 3 secs on on there site saying its sold out. I guess maybe all the emails gets sent to the other side of the USA first, so by the time it gets to me it's long gone. I've had 4 emails so far in 2 months of collecting SS statues. Every time not even a chance to get anything. Has anyone got the last item before on here when there's one one left? Maybe if I hear some good stories it will make me feel better. So anyone get the so called hot statues on those emails with one left?

i was able to get a jessica ex, vampi ex, and tomb raider ex, also managed to get a hulk comiq when they posted on the facebook, but cancelled it later as i already had it, but it didnt matter, my friends who had also placed an order got theirs cancelled, Vampi ex wait list reopening i came to know from the forums though i had got the newsletter first.

It doesn't matter if it is ex or reg they are both the same price so how are you saving money? It used to be that the ex cost more than the reg but not any more.

It can be a little annoying sometimes. I remember last year they had a deal on Hot Toys Abigail Whistler and I placed an order and got my T confirmation number. They ended up cancelling the order I had placed as they said they ran out of stock before my order was placed. However, just last week they put a posting on their facebook that said they had some of the same Abigail Whistler figure left, but when I clicked on the link ten minutes after it had been posted, they were all gone. It's just part of the game, I suppose.

A lot of people receive their Newsletter hours later. I believe they send them out in batches, the problem is, if you're in one of the later batch you will consistently get the exact same delay every time. Those in the early batch will consistently get newsletters on time every single time. It's been that way for a very long time, a really broken system considering it has the second chance notice info of rare items.

Yes I believe your right. By the time I click on it normally 1 sec after I get my email. The items are already sold out. :(

It's unfair and frustrating. I'm tempted to make a new account/email after I use up all my reward points. I have a feeling it's alphabetical as my email starts with a Y. I never get my email until hours after others are already discussing them here.
