I'm getting ready to fly out to LA tomorrow night, and then it's down to San Diego on Wednesday for SDCC - can't wait! I'll be doing my usual photo coverage starting Wednesday as well, and if there's something in particularly you'd like to see - let me know!

Tonight I'm looking at a couple of the Sideshow Original Sixth Scale Dioramas - the Temple of Anubis and the Shrine of Dagon. Both have excellent sculpts and paint...but sadly, are really too small for 12" figures.

I also have a Hot Toys review from Jeff Parker, who is looking at that inglorious basterd Aldo Raine. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

I have both SS env and I love them.

I am waiting on Perseus for the Shrine of Dagon and I have King Leonidas on Temple of Anubis (until Prince Dastan arrives). I agree Dagon is a bit on the smallish side but zero complaints about the Anubis. I don't display the Egyptian dog.

Cool reviews

I have both the Shrine and Temple and their excellent for several display options. They do look more impressive with smaller scaled figures though.

nice review michael. i love that photo with the he-man figure. i agree it's a bit small for 12 inch figures but they're perfect for smaller scale figures

I could never see spending more than $30 on one of these environments, let alone $90. The look more like a detailed base than "environment".

Thanks for posting up Michael, i've been somewhat over occupied of late. Here are a few more hi-res Aldo pics-
