Finally done after many delays.
Bought my EX PF years ago and wasn't happy with it mainly due to the huge costume. I mean really? The original suit looks like something my grandma would wear to the beach in the 1940s. And without the signature gold bat? Really Sideshow?
So anyways a couple of years later I finally decided to redo this statue. I tore off the stupid costume and resculpted her a new suit that showed way more skin. I mean that's why we like Vampirella right? She shows the skin. The original suit was glued on and it left red stain marks all along the surface where it came in contact. After resculpting I gave her a complete paint job with more skin tone variations.
Now for the gold bat. I was going to design one from foil and airbrush it gold, but I just ran out of steam. Besides as you can see, the new suit's crotch area is already tiny. The bat would be really squished and would lose a lot of detail. In the end it would just look like a "V" so I just skipped it. But at least I have a good reason to skip the bat on mine.
Check out the pics below.
