Ok on to serious discussion:

I am currently deferring Frankie as I have recently had the opportunity to purchase a hobby item that I have wanted for years, and he comes 1st. Worth doing, yet still so painful to make Frankie wait. But meanwhile, in-hand pix are starting to trickle in and it looks like the usual SSC issues are present:

Proto:

In-hand from another forum, this is not my pic:

I am seeing marked differences in the facial paint. The bi-color eyes do not bother me, I think they're in the proto and they're not inappropriate for this character. Its the makeup. The eyebrows are not shaded - they need that darker shading at the peak, and the eyeshadow is too hard. The lipstick is just ALL WRONG. Perhaps its stupid of me to expect line painters in China to use such subtlety as this figure needs. The proto is haughtily elegant. In-hand she's just friendly looking.

People are complaining about the skin tone, although tbh I trust no camera and will have to evaluate in-person.

This girl, true to her nature, will need some customizing work.

This is considered pin-up… not ****. There’s NO NUDITY. Have you never seen pin-up art from the 40s and 50s? This is no different aside from the subject matter.
Have you? No nudity here but the aforementioned subject matter had a lot.

I find it strange that when I question the rules, I get responses from those who have not heard of the site policies.

I guess I have my answer, it just doesn't matter.

Thanks.

As for the poor execution of this statue, it is exactly what worried Olivia about licensing her work.

Maybe she doesn't care anymore.

OMG! *puts Masao on Ignore list* Stop trolling! No one cares about your moral quandary with this statue! if you dont like her, do not purchase! No one here is going to take the time to argue about the "site rules" with you! If you have an issue with pin-up style art contact one of the mods! [who is probably going to laugh, just warning you]. Jeez louise, you pearl-clutching Puritanical wildman!

"Hey Super-Mod, I want to complain that the 'Frankie Reborn' thread in the General Collectibles forum has a slit in the bandages over the side of her right breast, her skin shows through and I can't handle it! Its AgAiNsT tHe SiTe RuLeS! Make it stop!" What fresh Taliban-ical moral hell is this?!

I'm reposting this pic specifically to make you lose your mind. Do report me for poStInG p0Rn. Please. I do not have enough eyes to roll heavenward!

*deep breath*

Now where were we. Yet again, this is Not My Pic. Its very interesting to see these items without special lighting and with the factory paint. I feel like the base could use more bronze drybrushing, but that's an easy fix. Anyone here who acquires this lady, i'd be super interested to hear your thoughts and see pix, should you care to post them.

I see someone is off meds. Not what I said at at all.

I was asking a question about the rules and a few people go into full WorldWarZ mode!

Calm down and stop viewing the world with your own head cannon!

This is why you do not pre-order based on an immaculately painted prototype. Those prod irises look wonky and the colors everywhere are wack.

I've been an "wait for in-hand pics" guy for like 5ish years now, and I've even missed out on some pieces because of it. Never going back, though.

this doesn‘t fit my collection direction at all, but I wanted to find a space for it as I love the art and I collect a lot of 1/4 scale. Almost POed off the proto but glad I waited. While it is not a bad piece, it could have been so much better.

It's not bad but you get what you pay for. If they had charged a little more and put more effort into the paint, this could have been a home run

What doesn't come across in the pics but I noticed on the sideshow live day 2 video today, is that her skin has a shimmery, glittery paint finish that looks nice

Just received mine; very unique. Not "Prototype" good, but good. I need more Olivia statues.
