The brown one will be the easiest to find in the long run because the blue coat is only available exclusively through SS. That's why TA only had the brown coat to part out.

Incidentally, I e-mailed Monkey Depot asking if they will part out the Hoth figures and their reply was that they didn't get any interest in pre-orders and won't be carrying the figures at all so TA will likely be the only place to get loose parts on these figures at reasonable prices guys.

Thanks for posting the link to the video, jjosdom. I hadn't seen that one yet. Yikes, Optibotimus really manhandles the figures, doesn't he! I was wincing the whole time when he was showing how the joints move! :lol

I'm still eager to get him. I want to see those eyes for myself. In some photos it looks fine, heck even pretty good. But in some others it looks terrible. I wonder which one it will be in real life. I'm also eager to try some futzing on him like fixing the gauntlets and the bunching up of his sleeves. I wonder if taking the Bespin jacket off underneath would help.

I have discussed this previously, but i am like that with my figures because i'm reviewing them. I hope things to a higher standard and i should be able to manhandle something and the figure should be able to withstand it. I am not OVERLY excessive as i can feel the limits on each figure, but i don't handle these with kid gloves as my way of trying to convey somethings durability.

I've seen you post that several times, and I'm not sure I can follow that logic. I don't think the mentality should be that these are more durable because they are expensive, but in fact the very opposite. These are really expensive and quite fragile, and in essence not technically "toys" because they're not meant to be played with, and they're not really made for durability either.

Not starting an argument BTW, so I hope you don't take offense; just sharing my view. I watched and enjoyed many of your vids, but like Lu, rough housing goes right thru me. When I see Sean Long man-handle his figs, I squirm in my seat :lol

My Han was on a 1.0 body, my Luke was a 1.1 (both EX's from SSC,) so I just swapped the figures over and the heights look better. Han should still be a little taller, but it looks decent.

Out for delivery. :)

I there a poll yet to record the 'body lottery'? :lol

I just bought two pairs of Dragon in Dreams German officer boots from the Major Achbach figure, which I presume are the same as those offered by Monkey Depot.

Museum Replicas refer to them as Imperial Fleet Officer boots, as worn by Luke (Ceremony and Jedi) and Han. So I'll upgrade my Luke Jedi with the second pair.

I couldn't be happier with Han and Luke Hoth. Just finished an amazing Han Bespin that really cost me nothing using the Bespin jacket and hatless head. The head looks stellar - you tilt his head a bit and it really captures ESB Han so incredibly well in both attitude as well as likeness. I happened to have an old smuggler Han belt in the parts bin (was for a custom Han hoth that never happened) and an extra HT Luke blaster. He's on a cloned TT from the parts bin and it looks amazing overall, even with just the Hasbro pants, which are at least the correct dark brown (and even the SSC pants get the stripe wrong.)

I also have nearly finished my new Luke Bespin using the hatless SSC Luke head, which also really nails Luke on the Bespin body. All up these two figures - for under $400 (w/coupons) - have yielded four AMAZING figures. It will actually be five if I can get the Hasbro parts to look decent for the BD Luke Hoth which I may hang upside down.

Received my Hoth Luke body from TA today. I had my bashed Han on a TTL body and I have to say, I like the SS Pro 1.1 a little better (at least with this outfit). It seems to fill it out lot better. Only problem is, I don't have any feet for it, so the pants are scrooching up above the boots a bit. Still digging this body and can't wait to pick up my Hoth Han tomorrow so I can plop the head on here:

I'll be swapping out the shirt and jacket as well.

$24 for the parka only. Might be cheaper to buy the whole figure and sell off unwanted parts.
