Thanks, guys. Reordered!

Very nice custom Tali! Is the chestbox from Hasbro?

Thanks. It is about 1/3 Hasbro, 1/3 Marmit and the rest is styrene and custom bits. I actually built the weird little added pieces on it (like the tiny syringe thing in the black) and the label is a tweaked printout of the actual costume one, but with added silver spray.

The figure's not quite done yet (the chestbox is only held on with double sided tape and is still a little rough in places) but it was a lot of fun to do - this guy and Bossk were my two favorite costumes from ESB.

Thanks - I'm thinking about the snowtrooper officer too after seeing yours. Still not sure how to do a Veers helmet, and half hoping SSC will do him.

You'll notice I loosened the strap on the figure. :lol They're parachute straps so you have to wonder what the middle one does exactly.

Thanks!:hi5:

It's just a (later, e.g. Lando Skiff type) Hasbro body with the torso heavily modded. I like them because they are like slim/narrows once you cut down and elongate the torso.

I couldn't use a regular body because the Driver's helmet sits very low on the armor so the neck joint had to be custom. He can look up and down and turn his head but it was very tricky.

Hasbro AT-ST driver helmet?

Too big, and flare's also too long. I used it for a Han as ATST Driver custom using the oversized SSC Indy German head and it does kind of work, but that Indy head is almost 1/5 in scale.

And unfortunately the SSC Snowie helmet (which technically is the same as the Veers and ATST helmets) is not a great sculpt. It's fine for the snowie because the cowl draws your eye away but alone it just doesn't quite look right to me - and it really defines the shape of the Veers figure head.

Fair enough. I suppose it's not beyond the realms of possibility that SSC will do him, with light up holo Vader hopefully.

I cut up a SSC Snowtrooper helmet for my Veers. I wish Sideshow would do one, but I highly doubt they will.

Any thoughts on Hot Toys releasing an AT-AT driver?

Only a Mini-Driver :p

A really cool never seen before behind the scene AT-AT Driver photo:

Awesome pic - I have the color version that's slightly different. It looks the same, but isn't. Interesting that the helmet seems whiter than the armor in this pic. You can see how Marmit got confused.

Chest armor looks darker than the shoulder armor too.

Still feel like some people are gonna be surprised by the gray armor when they get this. A couple shots with white stormtroopers or the snowtroopers in the proto shots would have helped to convey the color of the armor SS went with.

There are still people who don't know the AT-AT Driver was light gray. But also many people who don't know there are Hero and Stunt Stormtroopers, Vader had 2 tone paint on helmet, bubbles from Luke's Graflex saber come from a vintage Exactra 19/20 calculator etc. etc. I'm suite sure SSC will receive messages about the AT-AT Driver figure being gray and customers asking for replacement or refund LOL

That's going to be really funny if it happens. "You guys made a mistake! It's supposed to be white. I want my money back!" It's really only been a few years since they discovered the grey thing, so that reaction is actually more than possible (and they only ever found the helmet, not the armor, so the conspiracy theory continues.)

THAT is the reason I made my custom/Marmit ATAT Driver all-white - screen accurate.:yess::slap:lol

Difficult finding anything on this particular build. If you do a search on 1/6 AT-AT Belgian prop builder, you will find another 1/6 AT-AT built for a Star Wars celebration, but it looks different from this one.
