HI guys!

I loved the idea to have nameplates for some of my Pfs and Maquetes like Indiana Jones, Leonidas, Thor and others. Some sculptures like LOTR have nameplates on the bases, but I feel that Sideshow should offer the option to collectors to get them for other statues.

Let me know if you guys like the idea or just think it is useless.

Cheers :duff

I would like to see nameplates added to 1:6 figure stands similar to Hot Toys.

I actually think that all of them should come with something writen on the base like the Lord of the Rings PFs.

Depends on the piece. I like that the INDIANA JONES PF doesn't have a big nameplate obscuring the cool design of the base. I also like that the Star Wars figures don't have nameplates on their 'environment' bases. I don't mind the names on the LOTR PF bases, but I wonder if it would have been cooler without...or with an option to display with or without...

I don't really care for them... usually they just seem to get in the way and honestly if you don't know what something is then either its not a very good collectible or the viewer is not cool enough to be looking at my collection :lol

Definitely, I love HT's bases and really wish that SSC follows suit.

Personally I hate that the LOTR bases have the character's name on the piece itself. It like the old school GG piece who has the huge pumpkin with his name on it. I feel name plates should be additions for pieces like PFs and Maquettes/Comiquettes that can be displayed but don't need to be.

I hate name plates, personally I think they cheapen things and tend to be pretty naff, but I hardly ever use any kind of stand period.

There is a cool guy who makes plaques for props on Rebelscum: PANTHER96, the stands for plaques you can get here. These go well for Premium Format statues, I have a double signature one for my PF Vader:

I can't stand nameplates. We know who they are. I hope Sideshow never changes their 1:6 round bases.

I find the nameplates at a nice extra to the Hot Toys figures. So I certanly wouldn't protest against it.

I was thinking of nameplates more like the ones they offer for the legendary busts ,but smaller. I wouldn't like something flat with the name of the movie or something, but something with a bit more character. For King Leonidas, i thought of a simple "300" but in the shape of the logo for the movie.
