Is it just me or the quality of the boxes you get from sideshow getting worse through the years? I've never experienced this before but 2 in a row now, I'm not happy with the exclusive boxes I'm getting from them. My Mark VI last week came with dented corners, my Bruce Lee DX exclusive today came with partially torn flap. They could say I'm picky, but I used to get mint boxes from them.

Anybody else experiencing this perception of quality of the boxes getting worse? For one thing, they don't put the hot toys carton inside anything else, and maybe it's just in my head but these boxes seem to have become softer through the years, that's why the boxes inside are now prone to dents. True? False?

That's why I dont buy HT from SS anymore. Cheaper elsewhere and packaged better. SS just ships them in the shipper, which can lead to bent corners. Only exclusives I get from SS.

I think a torn flap has nothing to do with the shipping company. But yes, the dented corners can be prevented if they just put it inside another box.

Which is what other etailers do, like cornerstore and alterego. buy from them instead and if you really want to be heard, send SS an email explaining why your not happy and moving your business elsewhere. Not much can be done about it here.

Then people would be complaining that the brown shipper didn't arrive in mint condition. Where does it end? Are you buying the figure or the box? The box is just used to tranport your figure. Plain and simple. A few dings are expected. If you can't stand that, choose the pack out or get a new hobby :dunno

It should be noted I do keep all of the art boxes. While I'm OK with dings and dents, I do appreciate all of the effort put into the boxes. There are a bunch of nice people that work hard on them and they don't get the credit they deserve.

All my boxes go straight to the recycle bin but I guess if you are a mint box collector you have a right to be a little upset.

my Cody's shipper box had a tear in it but the figure and the inner box were fine...no harm no foul....how much is a pack out?

Just looked and couldn't find it either. I'd imagine you call or email CS and ask for a pack out for your order and take it from there.

Yup, just flick them an email when you get those processing alerts & pay a bit more for a shipper around a shipper.

Personally, if the contents are fine I don't lose any sleep over a crushed corner or the odd puncture in the art box. ____ happens.
