Sideshow Predator full 1:2 scale rumor?

Can someone post what they know about this rumor of a full 1:2 Predator?!?!

I heard a rumor that my significant other will kill me if I try to buy this rumored 1/2 scale pred.

Seriously though, all that I have heard is that SS was going to visit the P1 franchise at some point, but no one seems to be sure in what capacity.

from what i read, they said they would revisit him down the road in a different scale...........that could be almost anything really. Maybe a lsb line? 1:2 scale? 1:1 scale? more dios? etc.......

There's been no mention of this other than a Statue Forum member suggesting the possibility of a 1:2 scale Predator.

I would consider getting that if they did. Would be sweet! I always wanted the 1:1 but finding one at a reasonable price is pretty difficult.

I would be interested in a 1:2 Predator statue. Predator 1 or Predator 2, doesn't matter.

Yep! I'm with ya on that! The '87 Predator is the greatest of them all. If there was a removable mask, then I think having the option of changing mouth jaws/tusks would be nice. Something along the lines of what Hot Toys has done. Or they could just do two heads I suppose. One that has the mask which can be taken on and off with ease. And the second with the open mouth.

Thinking about the quills on the face/head though... I wouldn't want sculpted quills. So then Sideshow would do what they did with the 1/4 Pred. A mask would surely damage the quills and many of them would break off. What could a solution be to that?

That would be a simple solution. Don't know why that didn't cross my mind.
