I have a couple sideshow comiquettes, I'm about to buy my first premium format figure. I'm wondering what they are made out of? Are they like the comiquettes or plastic or what?

The same as the stuff you collect. Just in quarter scale. Before it meant mixed media quarter scale pieces. Cloth, metal mixed with polystone. Now it's pretty much anything goes in quarter scale.

Pretty much. Bowen are smaller pieces. It's all the same ... just different titles. Makes you feel all fancy schmancy when you purchase something with the word "premium" in it. Just a way to market the line.

Not true Devilof76. Take the Poison Ivy PF as an example. She's all polystone like a comiquette and Bowen piece. And there a lot like her now given the PF tag.

Not all quarter scales were.. now they are. If it's quarter scale, it's a PF now. The Iron Man with USA flag should have been classified as a PF back in the day. It was mixed media and quarter scale. It met the then criteria.... Side Show doesn't even know themselves. lol

Polystone is a compound made up largely of polyurethane resin mixed with powdered stone additives that give it added weight and the porcelain or stone-like feel that resulted in the materials name itself.

Sideshow employ a special finishing process that ensures a certain percentage of their statues will be finished with their signature googly eye appearance.

The new P2 Predator is 1/4, but not a PF.

Lmaoooooooo... truly exclusives mate

why are they still calling them Premium Format "FIGURES".

Hardly any of them move anymore.

Han and Tatooine Luke had like rubber arms with wires inside under the sleeves so you could pose the arms correctly
