Sideshow statues marked as Marvel Samples?

Hello,

I am about to get a Sideshow statue, my doubt is it is marked underneath the base as /1000 MARVEL SAMPLE.

Question is; is there such thing on sideshow statues? Never heard of this kind of pieces and this brings another question...
could it be possible this are the last pieces on production after the 1000 series have been done and therefore the level of detail could be deteriorated?

I have seen pieces on the high numbers of production that have deteriorated details compared to lower numbers of the same figure.

I am pretty sure I have seen this before but usually the ones I have seen are marked as AP but it is definitely possible.
