It was so completely ridiculous in almost every respect I'm not sure which planet it was meant to take place on. A bit like the complete disregard of history in Raiders of the Lost Ark's parallel world married to the complete disregard of physics in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's parallel world.

Far crazier than the Russian movie, T-34, and also reminiscent of low budget Italian war films from the 1960s.

There's an element of Tarantino, but the inspiration was supposedly First Blood, though Aatami is more of a Finnish John Wick crossed with Superman. In it's favour Sisu wasn't as relentlessly boring as a John Wick film.

It begins literally down to earth, but quickly turns into a surreal black comedy. The ending would be unbelievable, if it weren't for all the other other unbelievable events preceding it. It's a such a wild, silly ride that I think the real inspiration for Sisu was Looney Tunes.

RRR was fantastic and over the top. I viewed it through a lens of Superheroes and it worked when you watch the story and the characters.

SISU still trying to see it, but that trailer.😍

It was decent. There's really no story to it besides an old dude killing nazis because they're after his GGOOOOLLLDDD.

But yeah, it's definitely a movie where you have to turn your suspension of disbelief up to maximum.

Sisu has a rival with the German film, Blood & Gold.

Not as ridiculously over the top as Sisu, but nevertheless very pulp oriented. The skull tied to the handlebars of the motorcycle combination at the beginning tells you what kind of film it's going to be.

Similar plot of a gang of rogue Waffen-SS chasing a hoard of gold. This time they're lead by a disfigured officer in an anachronistic black uniform. Unlike Sisu, however, their vehicles actually have SS number plates rather than Army ones.

It's being likened to Tarantino, but it's really just drawing on the same sources. The inspiration is very spaghetti western, with the music reminiscent of Sergio Leone, particularly Once Upon a Time in the West.
