SIZE DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE - My 2 new Hulk Statues

Ok size does make a difference and these are not new new. But they are new to me. I have had my eye on these two even before I started Collecting higher end statues. The Size and price have kept me away. But I got them both for a pretty good price and had some good spots to place them.

The Diamond Select Hulk is Awsome. I LOVE THIS PIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off He is much bigger then I thought he would be. I thought he was around 7 to 8 inches. Turns out he is ten. I have always loved this sculpt!! Big Smile and all!! I love the way the pants are sculpted and have the look of blowing in the wind. I even love the pose. Yes it's a just standing there pose but he looks like he is looking down on someone ready to kick some but. It give the impression that someone is in real trouble. I even like the base.

The Dynamic Forces Hulk was what got me into searching for higher end statues. Based on Dale Keown art from the story Hulk The End. I saw a photo of this somewhere and it got me looking for other great statues and peoples collection. I have to say if this were two inces bigger It would be perfect. But still I can't get over the great detail on this six inch statue. Great sculpt by the Gore group. A big thank you to Darth Pain for selling me this item. My only issue is the hair but overall it's a great piece.

Now I want to know why there has not been a statue based on Mike Deodato Jr's art. By far my fav. Hulk artist!

Yes they are somewhat ugly statues. The Diamond Select face is very ugly but thats why I love it. Hulk not Pretty!!

Yes this sculpt is just amazing for it's size. I also agree that it's nice that it is smaller because you have more options on where to place it. It's also Why I love the DS one. I don't think I would really like it as much if it was a 1/5 or 1/4 statue. But the sculpt is perfect for it's size and it fits perfect on the shelf that I picked for it.

I have also been reading a lot of the old Hulks online. It has been a blast. Really pumped my hulk fandom up. It's why I went and bought both of these.

sorry to agree, but that Diamond Select one is probably one of the worst pieces I have ever seen. Sculpt-wise, that head is just poorly done. Never much cared for it as a toy either. But as long as you are happy.

It's so funny how people see things differently. I know the DS Hulk is not the most popular piece but man every time I look at it I smile. I love it. Worst pieces ever??? Wow. Like I said it's just kinda funny. I think the sculpt is perfect for it's size. I would not want a $300.00 18 inch comiquette of this piece. That might be too much ugly But it's perfect for 10 inches. I love LOVE his ugly mug!

Now here is what I think is the worst Hulk piece out there but I see that it gets lots of Love. I don't get it. I think the piece is almost comical.

Now I am not trying to convince you that the DS hulk is not "the worst piece ever" I just find it interesting (always do) how people see things in such a different way.

^^^ Drill a 1.5" line in the back and turn it into a piggy bank! You may want to drill a big hole on his buttucks for retrieve; better yet, Hulk smash it when you need petty cash. There's a new purpose to it, LOL. Yea, that statue's not my taste as well. But I am sure there's a Hulk for everyone.
