Surely it is the gems themselves that have the power, not the gauntlet? I thought the gauntlet was merely there to wield the gems and that they could placed into it in any order... I know moondragon had the mind gem without the gauntlet. I think the gauntlet is merely Thano's glove,actually

My point is that in 99% of the classic depictions of Thanos wearing said Infinity Guantlet the order is as shown above. Sideshow got it wrong. I have never seen one where the order is as they have placed it but then again anything could happen.
