I've been offered a Thor Archive set or a Freddy Krueger regular AND demon Freddy PF set.

the Thor will set me back around $320 with shipping and the PF Freddys will set me back around $350 with shipping.

Which would you go for???

Asking this question in the Marvel thread doesn't seem the best way to get an unbiased answer. I think the Archive set is over-priced but I also don't see a need to have both PF Freddy's. I guess, as always, it depends on what you want. Do you have the other sets and this would complete it? Do you have all the other Horror PF's except Freddy? There's only one person who can answer your question.

yes I like the Thor archive set and have been after it for a hile (I have Cap, Doc Doom and Hawkeye so far), however I agree that recently the prices they have been going for have been very inflated.

As for the Freddys...do I need 2??....probably not, but I can always sell one on and recoup some of the money.

BTW...as for the comment on not getting an unbiased answer by posting this thread in the Marvel section....I did mention that I posted the same thread in the Horror section to get their views also....but appreciate you pointing it out.

You know a THOR PF is down the line, the Hammer and the Helmet for goodness sake are already sculpted. Personally I'd wait for the THOR PF and pick up the other PFs....the Archive Sets are definitely cool but overpriced on the secondary market IMHO....

Back to topic, the Thor Archive set is, IMO, not worth $300. I would go with the other one you mentioned.

basically the set is $270 with shipping to the Uk making it $320. I'm tempted to get it as these are pretty hard to get hold of over here in the UK.

As a side note I was slightly put off the other PF as the seller asked me to use the Paypal Calc to work out how much I would owe him so he could have the $350 in his account. I asked him if he meant that I should pay his Paypal fees for receiving my money but he responded that I'd mis-understood. He wanted me to pay $360.74 so he could receive $350......? so I mentioned to him that basically he WAS wanting me to pay his paypal fees and I don't see why I should as (A) he didn't mention this previously and (B) I pay enough money to Paypal when I sell stuff without having to add to it when I buy stuff too.

So far he hasn't responded so I'm not sure if I'll go through with it.

Don't think that this ia all about the extra $10 he wants me to pay.....for me it's the principle of having to pay someone elses fees.

If you're asking which I would get in your position it would be the Thor prop archive set, but I guess what you really need to do is ask yourself which piece you want the most.

Which franchise are you most into Marvel or horror and which piece would look best as a part of your overall collection. Once you've figured that out you can decide which one you want the most and hopefully be happy with your purchase

not really actually. The seller of the PF Freddys wanted me to pay his paypal fees for receiving money (never had that asked of me before), and when I stated that I wasn't happy to pay those fees as I pay fees myself when I sell he didn't bother getting back to me, so basically I'm not prepared to do business with someone like that.


Looks like it could be the Thor archive set after all!...
