So the fabled Medi body breaks...

It's Luke.
Yeah, I've noticed it's hard to find those damn bodies!
And to top it all off, I can't use ebay because of some restrictions imposed on Colombia...
Now I'm starting to get really anxious.

I've had a Medicom body break into several pieces and I didn't try and push the articulation that hard. I think it's the crappy quality of the plastic they use.

Where did it break? Just this weekend I repaired two Venom bodies. One broke at the hip and the other at the shoulder. The good thing about Medicom bodies are they have screws that hold the pieces together. Take some pics if you can.

It may be something you can fix. I got my Matrix Neo on a Friday. Right out of the box his interior shoulder joint was broken. I plied out the screw cap thing, took the joint apart and found that the screw had threaded its housing so I superglued the screw in place and that fixed it.

Saturday, his hip broke. Fixed it with superglue -- that time it was an interior joint thing that broke. I let it set overnight and on Sunday after he was put together, his knee just uped and split in two. Once again superglue did the trick.

The downside with the soft Medicom plastic is it apparently breaks easily and, it seems in my case, the quality control isn't the best. The upside is the soft plastic takes to superglue well.

Ironicly, because of the height issue, I'll probably swap his head on a Hot Toys body one day. If it didn't require surgery, I'd do that now.

My Comic Spidey body broke at the shoulder. :(

I tried to fix it but the skin-tight suit was just impossible to remove.

You unfortunately have to split the suit along the seems to fix it. I cut it on the under arm of venom, so it would hide the restitch better. With Spiderman it would suck because the webbing would be in the way. I always wondered how they got the suits on with all the seams on the inside of the costume. I'm taking venom to my mom's to see if she has any clues how to do it.

Luke's shoulder broke. With so many points of articulation it's a bit difficult to explain... what broke is the housing of the screw (does that make sense?) - I mean where the screw goes in. Ah hell, I'll take a couple of pics.
Anyway, I did think about supergluing it, but I don't know if that will affect it's mobility.

Do you still have it? Ive been looking for a Spidey FOREVER and wouldn't mind trading for a broken one.:)

To superglue, you would probably need to remove the broken bit altogether. Then glue it back to where it should be. Wait for it to dry completely before reassembling. If it's not a weight baring part, that may be enough.

question. are the nude bods the short type like medi uses for movie figs or the taller used for comic figs? or are the skinny 301s the shorter and the Massives taller?

Seeing Medicom and Massive in the same sentance it too funny :lol

Hope Ghost Rider and Bruce Lee are not fragile.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Here's an ordering link: ToyTokyo in New York will be getting the nude RAH 301s soon, though they say they don't have any 301 Massives coming. That eBay seller is the only 301 Massive reference I've seen, and I've been looking a while.

Excellent, already pre-ordered!

Thanks guys.

Nope. Sorry.

I tried to get the suit off the figure and ended up ruining it in the process. :(
