Ok, cool...you found the link. Those bodies look interesting. A little worried about the body when you turn for movement. Looks like it's held together by elastic in the core, an old style of keeping a body together, instead of parts snapping and held together by screws and sockets.

I'm trying to find the video but I did see one where the person pulled the torso apart and had shown ball & socket construction, I know for sure that the arms, legs, feet, and hands pull apart. I also saw a video where the person said these were superior to another brand because they were held together with an elastic core. If I find the videos again I'll provide the link.

Solo, I just the little jawa today and I have to say he is even more impressive in person than in pictures! Great little body, the robe is perfect and the bandoliers are fantastic..those eyes! Just like the film! Thank you again

Ah, that's great to hear! I'm super stoked you like him. They do look better in hand, and much more fun to pose as well. Blaster should be in your mailbox soon!!

What a great little Jawa

Awesome! I would love to see another photo shot farther back of the two side by side. You got your blaster, cool!

No problem :) I'll snap some on my next day off. Yup blaster came the next day and it' goes perfect with this little guy, he makes me want more jawas! Haha

SB, wanted to let you know I received the leather sample today and I'm not sure how it could be any thinner; my only concern is it's a bit dark...chocolate on one side and orangish-tan on the other. It's probably easy to make the light-side darker but not the other way around. Have you worked with adjusting the colors? Below are a couple pics; I balled up the piece to illustrate how pliable it is.

Wow! That looks like genuine leather. If you don't have any leather stain I would just try to use the basic shoe polish that doesn't require buffing and doesn't include a lot of wax. The Kiwi brand is what i use to darken leather a bit, but it doesn't make change it too much. I would try to darken that orange side a bit and possibly use the other side for the top part of my bandoliers for a two tone. You can try it and see how it looks or just weather the top portion of the pouch to make it look darker with you choice of media. I use weathering kits.

Not sure of the thickness. The stuff I use is paper thin......in a lot of cases. The straps I make are thicker than the leather i use for bandolier pouches. Can you compare the thickness to a business card?

I use darker leather on occasion and I think it looks good. So either way I think you are set. Looks like quality loather, I'm just not sure how thin it is and that's everything. The thinner the better for pouches and holsters.

Yep, genuine leather for sure; the piece I received was approximately 12"x13"...I paid about $10 for the leather plus $6.00 shipping and it was here in a couple days. I tried to take a pic comparing the leather to a business card, they're about the same thickness. I already thought about the brown shoe polish for the back-side and will have to experiment, wish me luck. I'm still waiting on the robes and the 21cm body to get the ball rolling, hopefully they'll come in tomorrow.

SB, I'm looking at the 6th scale Dragon Lee-Enfield rifle and the wood & metal version you also used, do you have any thoughts on the two and is the wood & metal one worth the extra $$$? I'm thinking I'll go with the wood & metal one...cause it's well, wood and metal.

I like the wood and metal version best. It's smaller scale which is nice for smaller Jawas because their hands are mallet...it also looks better. I like the plastic ones for larger Jawas and when I do light up blasters.

I received the robes today and found the 21cm Obitsu body isn't nearly beefy enough and is a little tall as is; looks like I'll be hitting the toy isles this weekend.

Don't be afraid to beef up your body with whatever method you prefer. Also, you can always cut the arms and legs to the size that works best...then reattach them, hats what I do.

Understood, thanks; I'm gonna see if I could find something a little wider at the shoulders, this figure doesn't fill out the robe at all and would need to be beefed up in every dimension.
