Some noob help on custom work?

Hey all,

Can someone alleviate my ignorance and give me some tips on getting custom work done? ...total noob with this stuff...

I want to enquire about getting a character of my own (I'm a screenwriter in my spare time...) made. A sports fencer from the early 20th century.

Looking around the net, I don't think any company has ever released a figure in a fencing costume ....I can't even find an epee or rapier anywhere?

Are there any recommended customizers for these sort of figures?
...anyone here do this sort of work for a price?

lol yeah I couldn't decide where to put it.
The forum notes on the custom forum say in big capital letters, NOT FOR SALES so I stuck it here instead ....can't hurt to move it though.

There's a bunch of good sculptors there, so I guess your best bet would be to pick a few who's work you like and start PM'ing them directly.

Really?? It says that?? I'd have never known because of all the SALES going on in the customs forums.
